Pet care experience
I grew up with a lively springer spaniel in the home, and one of the best ways to get energy out was taking the pup on long walks around local hiking trails. This past year, I returned to my hometown for a period of time. While there, word got out that I had provided housesitting/petsitting services for a friend. I was quickly booked for a new housesitting/petsitting gig for the majority of the months I was there. During this time, I took care of dogs of all ages, taking them on daily walks around the neighborhood, and even had the opportunity to relearn skijoring with a couple of retired sled dogs. While I do not currently have my own pet, I do look forward to caring for yours!

My dog was a bit of a handful as a puppy, and Lydia did a great job with her. If you've got a pup that needs some good exercise, I definitely recommend Lydia! She loves dogs and is a very active person. My dog absolutely adores her!
We left for over 2 weeks and new our year old cat and 13 year old dog we’re in good hands with Lydia! She has a generous and kind heart and the animals loved her! Her desire to be active outdoors also aided in keeping the animals healthy and well exercised. I would definitely recommend Lydia!
I highly recommend Lydia as a loving pet caregiver. Lydia cared for our needy, older cat for three weeks in 2022. Typically our cat would be nervous with new people in her life, but not with Lydia. Our cat was very relaxed, very happy and so loving with her. It was as if we hadn't even left.

A typical day
I live very close to Chester Creek trail and within walking distance to a lake with a park with plenty of space to roam. I am fairly active myself, like to go on walks and hikes, and will make sure that your pup gets the outdoor activity needed.

Availability
Currently, I am available for pet care in early morning/afternoon, with availability on Fridays and occasional weekends. As I settle into my new job, I will have greater availability and better know what my evening hours can be throughout the week. I look forward to caring for your pets!
