Pet care experience
Hey my name is Lydia! I am a student at UGA studying marketing. I have had pets since I was little, and have grown up taking care of a Shih-Tzu (Sally), a Yorkie Terrior (Chewy), a handful of dachshunds and 2 cats (Sweet Pea and Mittens)! I absolutely LOVE animals and would love the opportunity to spend time with yours! I have house sat/ pet sat in the past and have really enjoyed it! Next year I hope to raise a guide dog here at UGA, and am looking for an opportunity to watch others’ pets before I take on such a responsibility on my own! Also, I am currently in training to receive my certification for cat & dog CPR/ first-aid.

I have known Lydia for her entire life, and she has always been extremely responsible and loving, and she has always shown excellent judgment. I know for a fact that she loves animals (we have several, including a dog), and there is no doubt in my mind that she will take this job seriously and offer boundless love for this dog. She has expressed to me on more than one occasion how much she hopes to care for a dog, and I know that she will give it the care and love that it deserves. You could not pick a better person!!
Lydia is awesome. She’s been our neighbor for years and watches our dogs when we are traveling for work. She is so sweet and we completely trust her with our animals. Highly recommend!

You can count on me to always be on time and to take the absolute best care of your fur baby, as they deserve. I love going to dog parks & know of quite a few great ones here in Athens! Again, I currently live in a dorm so I cannot watch animals in my home, but I would be more than glad to watch them in yours. I don't have any breed preferences- I am willing to pet sit all sorts of breeds :) Before watching your dog, I would like to know: ☆ Their name and age ☆ What's their temperament like? (shy/ energetic? how they act around other people/ animals, etc) ☆ Are they potty trained? ☆ Do they have any medical issues/ allergies/ medications? ☆ Their favorite activity :) ☆ Anything else you would like me to know!
A typical day
I would love to take your pup to a local dog park, or walk them on trails! If they enjoy frisbee/ other high energy/ social activities, we can do those too. I believe pets are such a special part of life and I am so excited to meet and hang out with yours!

Availability
I’m currently a full time student at UGA, so I am seeking part time work as a dog sitter/ walker. I am available for both short term and long term commitments, (whatever you need!) and I am here in Athens from August- mid December and will be back from early January- mid May. I currently live in a dorm room, so my living situation is not optimal for a pet; however, I am more than willing to stay at your home and watch them there! I live in the heart of campus so I can pretty much get anywhere fairly quickly. This semester I am available MWF from 11-2pm and 4-10pm and T/TH all day; on the weekends I am mostly available and am extremely flexible! I try my best to keep my calendar updated, so you can always check there for my availability!
