Pet care experience
Having grown up on a farm with a variety of animals (including my own flock of sheep), I have a passion for taking care of pets! I spoil my own fur-baby with lots of walks and hikes, as well as hours of fetch. I will run, walk, or lounge with your dog! Other services I can offer is taking your dog on a hike or for a swim, or just shower them with belly scratches. I send a ton of picture updates throughout the day so you don't miss a thing in your pets' life. My goal is to ensure that your dog has a great day while you're at work or out of town. I have one 4 year old border collie and a foster 1 year old border collie. I have a lot of experience with tiring out high energy dogs! Dogs that I watch must be ok with cats.

Thank you Lydia for taking care of our cats! She set our minds at ease with her wonderful attentiveness to our feline friends. One of our cats requires insulin shots, so Lydia gave him his meds and everyone all the attention they need during her drop-in visits. I bet the kitties will enjoy seeing her again someday!

I have a large fenced backyard and live close to hiking spots and parks. With my own dogs around, your dog is never lonely! My dogs love to play with other dogs, and are great at understanding boundaries.

Please let me know if your pet has any issues with cats, being left unattended for 1-3 hours, or behavioral chewing. I also like to know if owners prefer their dog to be crated at night or when left alone for short periods of time (if needed).
A typical day
I take my own dogs for a run every morning, followed by a walk with the other dogs I watch. We spend most of the day (weather permitting) hanging outside on the patio/yard. If we don’t go to the park or for a hike then we typically go for another long walk along the canal trail. I do watch dogs that have hip or other issues with walking so they get to relax at home without the other dogs during activities they can’t do.

Availability
I currently attend graduate school at the U, and my boyfriend and I work opposite schedules so there’s always someone at home to keep the dogs company. I do most of my studying outside on the patio so the dogs get tons of outside time.
