Hello! My name is Lydia and I am life-long dog lover! Growing up, my family always owned at least one dog, from puppies all the way to seniors. Furthermore, I interned with a veterinarian for a month and am comfortable interacting with new dogs and gained a handful of helpful knowledge during my time there as well! Not only have I assumed responsibility for caring for my dogs back home, I have cared for the animals of neighbors, extended family and friends. My experience working at a veterinarian office taught me about proper animal care all the way from cleaning pet messes to simple, easy behavior control tricks! My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication, however I would like to know beforehand if you have any tips or tricks useful in giving your dog their medicine.

Lydia was very pleasant and took great care of our dogs while we were away. She kept us updated with texts and pictures of our boys and we knew they were in great hands. We will definitely be reaching out to Lydia for future pet sitting requests!
My dog does not do well in a kennel environment, so I turned to Rover, and am so glad that I did. Lydia was wise beyond her years and took taking care of my baby very seriously. She sent daily updates and pix, and my house was exactly as I left it. I hope she's available if I ever go out of town again!
Lydia dog sat our two dogs Cecille and Sadie while we were on vacation last summer. She did a great job with them - they had clearly been well fed and cared for while we were gone. Knowing that our dogs were in Lydia's care was a huge relief - we didn't worry a bit. We knew that Lydia has large dogs of her own when we hired her. Sometimes large dogs can be intimidating, and our dog Cecille is young, excitable and energetic. And he loves to escape out the front door. But Lydia handled him with no problems. We highly recommend Lydia and will use her again!

Before caring for a furry friend, I would like to know their age and breed, however neither of those factors would greatly influence my decision of whether or not to sit the dog(s).
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog I plan on spending as much time with your dog as possible throughout the time I am able to sit. I am a college student and do have responsibilities of studying, however I am very efficient with time management and would give your dog(s) all the time they needed to feel comfortable and well cared for while you were away! Furthermore, while my availability for sitting is restricted to the weekends, I am able to walk dogs Monday, Wednesday or Friday during the day and visit cats on weeknights as well if needed! Extra house-sitting services I am very willing to do housework while you are away! I have much babysitting experience as well and I am familiar with basic household tasks i.e cleaning, watering plants, dishes, etc.
