Your dog deserves the best care.

Pet care experience

I know the struggle is real when trying to find someone to watch your fur baby. Although, we haven't met in person, I hope to gain a bit of your trust for caring for your pet(s) with this short paragraph. Growing up, my family always had a "family" dog so since I was a young girl I have always enjoyed taking care of our pets. Now that I am an adult, I have made the choice to become a vegan because I believe all animals are worth fighting for. I spend most of my free time volunteering at a local animal shelter. My husband and I have three dogs; two of which we adopted and one that we are fostering while we aid him back to good health. Our families and friends tease us about how much we "spoil" and "pamper" our dogs, but to us, these furry creatures, are family. With all this said, I would be honored to help take care of your furry creatures by hosting them in our home, walking them when your schedule is pressed for time, and all together showing them the love I believe all animals deserve.

Loved that Lydia sent videos and pics while she took care of our sweet puppy. They were like peas and carrots. So happy we found her!!

Lydia loves loves loves dogs! Period, end of story, lol. Seriously though if she could have all the dogs in the world she would. She volunteers out at Safe Harbor. She has rescued 2 seniors dogs, one from the Humane Society and the other one from Safe Harbor. She is currently fostering a "lifer" from Safe Harbor. She would love to help others with their furbabies by dog sitting or taking them for walks. You can trust Lydia 100%. ❤

Lydia is absolutely amazing and most caring woman I know. She's fostering a very special needs dog at our shelter and not only did she open her home and heart, she's went above and beyond for him and all of our dogs here. She is always happy to spend her time with them, never rushing around. She just enjoys the dogs and they really enjoy her coming to visit. She's probably the only person I would trust to care for my pets if I were unable to. Just the perfect dedication and love every dog should be so lucky to have.

We have a nice sized home with a fenced in backyard. Both of our adoptive dogs are friendly and mostly co-exist with other pets. Our foster dog is a bit more shy, but he has his own safe space if he is not feeling social. If you are interested in having your dogs stay with us and prefer for your pet to be crated, I do ask that you provide the crate. However, I will not crate your pet unless it is requested. I am open to meeting your fur baby and sharing our home with you before you make the decision to leave your pet with me!

Information Lydia C. would like to know about your pet

I love all dogs, but it is always important to know if your pet has any kind of health issues, anxieties, or doesn't like other dogs. Other information that would be helpful: What is something your dog loves to do with you? Does he/she have places that they do not want be touched? (i.e. I know some dogs have sensitive ears or don't enjoy belly rubs) Does your dog have any diet restrictions? (i.e. he/she can't have certain types of treats)

A typical day

There are many parks in the Cape area. If your dog is fit for hiking, I know of many trails that would be a great place to burn off some energy! I love playing with furry creatures so if they enjoy running around and playing fetch, but require a fenced in area I would consider the dog park in Cape or potentially my backyard if the owner feels comfortable with me transporting their pet.
