Pet care experience
I have had and cared for dogs my entire life growing up, including my own as well as neighbor’s. My family dog Riley, a sweet black lab /plott-hound mix, passed away in 2016. My boyfriend and I adopted our golden retriever, Izzy in August 2021. Since January of 2022, I have been a volunteer at Forever Home Rescue in Medfield, caring for the 20+ new dogs that are transported weekly up from the south to find their forever families. I have fostered four dogs so far for the rescue and adopted one of my foster dogs (oops) named Pongo who is a SWEETHEART and loves all humans and dogs 🐶
Reviews
Lydia was great and I really appreciated all the pictures and videos she sent me. This was my pups first time staying away from home and staying in a home with other dogs but I think she did okay! She slept all the way home when I picked her up!
Thank you Lydia! Sully and Daisy had a wonderful time and are looking forward to visiting again soon!!
Lydia is truly the best! She is super responsive and communicative. She sends photos of the dogs without us having to ask and checks in to give us updates often. We never have to worry when she watches our pups! She was very patient with one of our dogs who took a few visits to remember her/warm up to her and now they’re inseparable! We love Lydia!
Bailey seemed well cared for during his stay and we received multiple photos of Bailey throughout the weekend appearing happy.

I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs-Izzy, a 1.5 year old Golden Retriever and Pongo an 11 month Lab mix! They are both very sweet and happy pups who love having dog- guests. They go to daycare two days a week and are well socialized and have no known food, toy, or other aggressions. My dogs are both on the calmer side, and do best with dogs who will play/wrestle/run with them outside and then relax inside without constantly trying to play with them inside when they are hanging out. Your dog is welcomed to nap and hangout on the couch, dog beds, or our bed. We usually have nylabones and toys out and there will be water bowls easily accessible and treats if authorized by the owner (:

Information Lydia B. would like to know about your pet
Dogs must be up to date on their vaccines since I have two dogs of my own. No signs of aggression! (Toy, food, history of aggression, etc) No excessive humping No dogs with too high of energy, as my dogs are on the calmer side (although when they first meet you, you wouldn’t believe this!!) After initial greetings and some play time in the yard or a walk, they can just hangout all day and would prefer dog-guests with a similar “lifestyle”
A typical day
Playing in the yard, dog park, walks around neighborhood. We are close to a few state parks with trails as well as the Medway dog park and Wrentham dog park

Availability
I work a hybrid schedule currently. I am home throughout the day Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and most Saturdays and Sundays. I generally do not do week long boarding due to my work schedule however it could be arranged depending on the week, so feel free to inquire. House sitting is also dependent on my boyfriend’s schedule since I have two dogs of my own, so he will have to be around to stay home with them!
