I love outdoor activities and will customize services to keep your dog safe, happy, and loved! I own my own home and am experienced with all sizes and ages of dogs. I'm comfortable giving medications, including injections, and working with senior and special needs dogs (blind, deaf, etc.). I have dog and cat first aid certification through Pet Pro Hero (expires 2025). I do not train. I can recommend an excellent behaviorist, and I'm willing to care for dogs with behavioral needs if you make me aware of them.

I own my home and have a small fenced yard. House-trained dogs can have freedom in my house while I am home. I do require that dogs be able to crate safely in case I need to go out briefly (some dogs just get into trouble unsupervised in new places, even if they wouldn't at home).

I meet dogs and their owners in advance to make sure we're a good match and that I understand all the dogs needs and preferences. I need to know any history of aggression (toward people and animals). Dogs must be clean and reasonably well groomed. All dogs must be using a flea and tick treatment, year-round. It's important to me that your dog is healthy and that I know, and can address, any needs. I ask that you bring your dog's own food when boarding and encourage you to bring at least one familiar toy or comfort item.
A typical day
My favorite walks are the Jim Mayer Riverwalk trail and nearby state parks. I love outdoor play (or indoor play, if it's raining) and believe dogs are happier and calmer if they get to exercise their bodies and their minds. We can also get creative--unique toys, puzzles, snuffle mats, and more.

Availability
I work full-time from home and usually have visiting dogs in my home office during work hours. After work, we can go for walks if the weather permits, or we can play indoors. HOUSE-SITTING requests: I am happy to stay at your house overnight and on weekends but have to be in my own house during work hours. I accept very limited house-sitting requests because of this but do an excellent job if I do accept.
