Home Full Time, Great with ALL DOGS
Pet care experience
Dog Lover, calm and confident with ALL pets. I’m a bigger guy, so I’m great with Larger Breeds. I’m kind hearted and patient, I own my own home with a fenced in yard as well as willing to travel. I’m very personable with good commutation skills. I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was very young and have VERY open availability. Both intuitive and energetic, I’m always willing to go above and beyond to make sure both you and your pet are happy, comfortable and satisfied. I’m a professional chef by trade as well as former military so I work well under pressure. I’m 36 years old, well traveled and read, mature with a good sense of humor. Your dog(s) will love me!!!!!
Reviews
We have waited to write our review but since Rover has kept Luke on their site, we are now writing our thought out review. I'd like to preface this with the statement: What happened to us, doesn't mean it will to you but nonetheless it happened and it was detrimental to our puppy, our finances and our hearts. Not in that order necessarily. An hour after my husband dropped off our 2 year old, my son raised from birth, Luke was in an accident. My husband and I first were concerned for Luke, the story we got was lies (unknown at the start). My husband was an hour and half away working and my son and I were in another state. My parents picked up Luke kindly, to take him home. Luke maintained he was T boned. Our dog was thrown to the front and his vertebra had basically pulled out and snapped back in. This cause paralysis in our dogs back two legs. The police report we finally got stated, he was cited for following too closely ( that is behind the lady, not T boned) as well as being UNLICENSED. That is grossly negligent to be on the road, caring for our dog, and driving illegally. We understand accidents happen however we then had to fight insurance to get help they said we didnt even deserve for our dogs injuries. Luke failed to tell us porters legs werent working by the way and my parents ended up taking him to the ER vet. They wouldn't do the xrays without payment. The xrays and meds came to 918.00. Fortunately my parents paid it and also took care of porter (legless) damaged forever now at his 12th-13th vertebra. LUKE said he put money aside to help with porter. Then qhen Geico gave us just enough for the ER bill to repay my parents, he said since we got that,he spent the 1000 he put aside. We have bills for our dogs injuries that Luke now has refused to help us with. August 7th was the acident. Now, he ignores us and our next step is court because thats apparently the only way to get help with our bills. Our dog was healthy and happy. Luke lying about things made this way way worse for us all. My friend's policeman husband said that citation for unlicenced means one of two things no license at all, or suspended. Both negligent. He refuses to help us. We offered installments if that helped him. We continue to be nice but get no help. Luke seemed like a good person, one I felt safe leaving Porter with for 2 seperate trips we planned. Instead of a sitter after this happened, our dog had to stay at a vet hospital because he couldn't walk!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully we were with my father in law in the outerbanks, whose a vet. It was possible that our dog would be best put to sleep, thankfully the xray showed hope that he might eventually walk again, but not to be confused, HE WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME! PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES. IT'S CALLED BEING ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEM. LUKE IS NOT BEING HELPFUL OR HOLDING HIMSELF ACCOUNTABLE. At first, with his initial story even how porter flew inside the car, it didn't match up. Finally, it did. LUKE - SEND US HELP FOR OUR BILLS FOR OUR DOG THAT WAS IN YOUR CARE, AND THAT WAS YOUR FAULT.
Showed up On time. Communication was quick and effective. Patient and very flexible with me and my puppy
Luke was great with my puppy. It was the first time leaving her since we got her and she didn't whine at all. He was very understanding that she was not house trained. She even knew how to go up and down the stairs by the time I came to get her! I will definitely keep him in mind for the future.
