My current pets are a chihuahua/Pomeranian mix and a cockatiel. I have experience caring for my own dogs and friends' dogs. My personal dogs have ranged from lab mixes to Pomeranians. I like to learn the dog's personality and work around it to maximize the benefit of our time together. I am comfortable engaging with high energy or low energy dogs. I am friendly, attentive, and enjoy meeting and caring for dogs of all sizes. My wife and I recently moved to Portland. I am currently teaching part time and looking for a fun way to fill some free time while helping the local dogs, meet some of my neighbors, and be more active in my community. Luke is a great dog sitter! He's looked after a range of pups (both in size and personality) and the dogs get along with him great. He's caring, affectionate and active! His own tiny rescue dog, Trouve, is adorably sweet, and the juxtaposition of human and dog is so fun.
I would absolutely recommend Luke as a dog sitter! My dog, Haven, is a rescue that had been abused by her previous owner. That being said, it always took her a while to warm up to people, especially men. Luke has always been great with Haven, giving her all of the love and warmth that she needed. Now when Haven sees Luke, she'll jump right up into his arms (That only ever happens for me). I think Haven's favorite parts of staying with Luke were the belly rubs and the treats!
Luke is a wonderful pet sitter. He is extremely attentive, responsible, and kind. My frenchbulldog Rosie loves spending time with him. Rosie occasionally spends time with Luke’s own dog Trouve. Trouve is always well behaved and the two dogs get along well. I definitely recommend Luke as a sitter and walker!
