Pet care experience
I previously worked at Colchester Zoo as a Senior Keeper and have also kept dogs, cats and birds most of my life. With years of experience and a passion for good animal care, l would be happy to look after small dogs and pet birds in a safe home environment. I also provide drop in visits, or local dog walking in an environment your pet is familiar with.

Luke was very friendly, warm and welcoming. He looked after my daschund cross while I was on holiday for a long weekend. He cared for him like he was his own, nothing was too much trouble. He didn’t want to come home after and I will definitely be using Luke’s services again when I need them. Highly recommended.
Luke and I meet over a decade ago through work. As we both have a long history in animal care, as well as a passion for travel we quickly became friends. During my holidays Luke would always look after my pets and vise versa. He is the only person I trust to look after my furry friends and they adore him!
Luke was amazing! Looked after our British bulldog Patsy for 2 nights whilst we were away, he made sure to give us updates and communication so we weren’t worried at all and once we came to pick her up she seemed more than happy to of stayed there! Will definitely be going back to Luke if we go away again. :)

I have a fully enclosed garden, and your pet/s will have the company of a lovely social female dachshund, and be fully supervised. I also have two pet Gloster canaries, called Trixie and Jinksie, They love to sing, especially in the mornings.

A typical day
My house is ideally located in the New Town area of Colchester and the Rec is just behind my house providing wide open green space for dog walks. Further down the road for longer more adventurous walks is Distillery Pond and Bourne Woods. Back from our adventures I will provide a peaceful home setting, company and cuddles.

I work full time but can be available all day Fridays and Sundays, and most evenings for dog sitting/company/walks. I am also happy to care for pet birds for owners taking holidays.
