Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner/lover my entire life. Having grown up with Bernese mountain dogs and Australian shepherds, I have always been a big dog person. I worked at a veterinarian clinic for a year as an intern, so I feel I am able to give dogs quality care and know if something may be wrong. I am very active, so I love getting outside with them, giving them lots of love, and being extremely attentive. My dogs have had medical problems in the past so I am capable of dealing with medication/specific needs. I understand that dogs are a huge part of family. I would absolutely love any chance I can get to give your dog some love and care while you're away!

I have a fenced yard with a dog door. I care for my pet by getting him out for exercise at least once a day--usually more! On hot days I take him to places where there is water to drink and play, otherwise, we go anywhere he can safely run off-leash. I am very good about checking water bowls (especially in this summer heat) and making sure there is always plentiful fresh water. I do not leave food or garbage out/available for my pets to get into, and I am quite quick to pick up after them in the yard.

Whether the pet is good off-leash is very important for me to know when taking them to more remote trails where there may be fun things to chase. I would also very much so like to know how they behave with other animals and with strangers.
A typical day
Running, hiking,r walking around neighborhoods, or taking them swimming! I like to spend time in the mountains on quieter trails with plenty of water like middle cottonwood, Sypes, fairy lake, sourdough, bear canyon, new world gulch, chestnut etc. Peets Hill is always a good go-to if it is a well trained, and social dog!

Availability
My weekly routine is very flexible. I make time to get outside for at least a couple of hours every day, but each week is a little different! I am willing to move my schedule around to suit the needs of any pets I may be responsible for.
