My fiancée and I have cared for 50+ dogs (& cats) and have had such a fun time getting to know each and every one of them! With more than 35 gleaming reviews and the highest rate of repeat clients in the area, it's easy to see that we love what we do. A few things that make our boarding experience exceptional: - 2 experienced sitters instead of 1 - One & Only Petcare (1 Rover boarding in home at any time) - Full time playmate! We also have a dog that will keep yours company - A smoke-free & child-free home with a fenced backyard - DogCam surveillance for 24/7 care - Meet & Greet including Individualized Care Intake Form We both work from home full-time and can provide optimal care for your pet. While you're out of town, we’ll only be a quick text away and always provide text/photo updates via Rover so you can see how much fun your pet is having. While you're away on your road trip, catching a red-eye flight to surprise family, or on the ski slopes, your furry friend will be in good care. Whether they're chasing their tail in the backyard, lounging in our living room, meeting the JP locals, or going for a jog through Franklin Park, your pet might enjoy your vacation even more than you do! Due to high interest, we prefer to have evening drop-offs and morning pick-ups for dog boarding. We ask this happen to avoid any crossover in bookings. (PRE-COVID): We’re typically out of the house from 8am until 6pm during the week with some flexibility to work from home on occasion. We provide up to 3 walks (before work, after work, and bedtime) during each weekday and weekends are typically much more flexible if needed. Please make sure your dog would be comfortable within this schedule.

Willow seemed to love her stay!
We have an anxious Shiba Inu who is distrustful of strangers. Our first meeting with Luis was a bit stressful - lots of barking on Fuji’s part - but Luis handled it with so much poise and confidence. Fuji got used to him fairly quickly. Our dog is not one that will be cuddly and friendly with new people. Luis and Marika were warm and accepting, but also really understanding that not all dogs are the same. They definitely took it slow and were not judgmental at all. Very impressed and happy with our first Rover experience. We will definitely be repeat customers.

We have a strict leash policy for our dog and any other dog we are providing care to - your dog will never be off leash during a walk with us. During walks, we always use precautious methods whenever possible. For example, if your dog prefers to avoid socializing, we take less populated walk routes through the neighborhood. Since we are dog owners ourselves, our home is very pet-proof. Hardwood floors make cleanups easy, and all tempting items are kept out of reach to set pets up for success while they are visiting. Our fenced yard provides a perfect spot for dogs that are used to being "let out back" for a quick potty break.

We don't have many preferences when it comes to who we will not care for. Dogs that show aggression towards other dogs or people are not a good fit since there are many of both of those in our neighborhood. We also prefer dogs that don't mind being home alone at some points throughout the day, since we do enjoy going to the gym when possible. Before agreeing to sit, we would like to know any special accommodations your dog may need like dietary restrictions, physical accommodations, if your dog doesn't like other dogs, etc. Important note* Drop-off times are evenings only. Pick-up times are morning only. *If your booking does not fit within this, pricing will likely be adjusted at our discretion.
A typical day
We live near a park that dogs frequently visit and socialize with one another. We typically walk dogs through there during our neighborhood stroll. We also have a backyard in case that's a better setting for your dog. Along with leisurely walks, We also go on occasional hikes through Blue Hills and love to bring along dogs that have been flea/tick treated and enjoy moderate exercise. As for toys, We always encourage the owner to bring a few familiar toys and treats for their dog, but we also have tennis balls, tug-o-war rope toys, treats, etc. just in case.

Right now, we work from home full-time and bring our dog out about 4 times per day for potty breaks and play time. When we meet, Marika and I will ask about your dog's schedule as well to ensure we can provide optimal care.
