Full Time Pet Caretaker
Pet care experience
I’m an experienced petsitter and dog owner. After a decade of working in an office, I’ve recently decided to take a break and pivot to doing something I actually enjoy - pet caring! As such, I’m a full-time pet caretaker and have a pretty flexible schedule. I’m home most of the day throughout the week. My household energy level is low-to-moderate. I have a pup (7yo chihuahua) and go on at least 3-4 walks per day but beyond that, we are mostly couch potatoes. I have experience with basic command/crate/potty training. I’m also experienced with caring for senior and/or special-needs dogs (e.g. heart worms, seizures, arthritis). I’ve personally dealt with a number of these issues with my own dog. I prefer to board dogs that are OK being crated while alone (3 hrs max), comfortable sharing space with other small-med pups, and able to climb stairs or OK being carried up the stairs (<20 lbs).
Reviews
She was wonderful, super responsive and constantly kept me updated on Tibby with cute photos and updates on how he was doing!
Lucy is a terrific caretaker. Left my dog with her for a few days, and was thrilled with the constant updates and communication. I have never seen my dog so sad to leave a sitter's house. Thank you so much!
Marlo had a great stay with Lucy again! She was very flexible in accommodating our last minute request and was communicative and friendly as always.
Lucy is excellent!! We feel so lucky to be able to find someone we trust. She always takes excellent care of Bleu!

Safety, trust & environment
For overnight boarding, I always do meet and greets (preferably in person) before confirming a booking request. This way, we can both see how your dog reacts to me and my dog, and I can take note of your dog's routine, needs, triggers, and general behavior. Closer to date of boarding, I will reach out to confirm drop-off and pick-up times as well as send you my suggested packing list. At drop-off, I will meet you and your pup outside with my dog and take them both on a quick stroll around the block before bringing them inside. I always make sure to clear my calendar for at least 2 hours after initial drop-off in order to accompany your pup and help them settle into the new environment. During their stay with me, I will keep you updated with pictures and notes on their activities throughout the day. I will also keep you informed of any behavioral or GI concerns - I'll try my best to accomodate or correct any issues I come across. I take various precautions to avoid potential conflict between pups - different rooms for feeding, individualized walks, separate lounging locations, etc. No dog will ever be left alone with another unsupervised.

Information Lucy W. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any allergies and triggers to take note of (e.g. leash aggression, scared of thunder, barking at mailman/skateboarders, etc).
A typical day
For longer walks I like to go to nearby parks. There are quite a number close by me to chose from, such as Perry, Lincoln, Conway, and Nunziato parks. I can also help with basic command training (sit, touch, off, etc).

Availability
I’m home almost all the time, so quite flexible in terms of availability. I’m only out of the house for 2-3 hours max on errand runs, but I always try my best to schedule my outings when my husband is home. While rare, there will still be occasions where your pup may be alone for a couple of hours. I generally walk my dog, Rosie, 4x a day (9am, 2pm, 7pm, 11pm) for around 30 min per walk. She’s fed 2x a day after her morning and evening walks. If you’re boarding your dog with me, I’d always test how your pup and mine do on walks together. If it appears that your dog prefers to walk alone or needs special attention, I’d walk him/her separately.
