Pet care experience
Hello! I'm Lucy. I have extensive experience in caring for a wide variety of dogs in professional and personal settings. I have volunteered with animal rescues from a young age, have spent time working as a veterinary assistant, and, when I'm not hosting dogs from Rover, I foster dogs through a local rescue group. Fostering has given me the opportunity to gain experience caring for dogs with a diversity of backgrounds, behavioral challenges, and medical needs. I grew up with enthusiastic labradors who ensured that every day was an adventure for our family by wreaking havoc and loving us fiercely. My educational background is in wildlife biology and I am a certified EMT. I love dogs and the lifestyle that comes along with keeping them happy and healthy! I am happy to work with you to come up with the best care schedule for your dog based on your routine and your pet's needs and energy level. We have a 3-year old mixed breed dog, Blue, who loves to play and socialize but, if needed, we have the space to keep the dogs separated.
Reviews
Lucy is extremely attentive and thinks about all the little things she can do to help your dog have the best experience possible! Lucy’s also a great communicator and brings a wealth of knowledge from her background in fostering dogs. It’s clear she loves and has a special gift for providing care to animals, and I honestly can’t recommend her enough!

Information Lucy P. would like to know about your pet
It is helpful for me to know about your dog's energy level and their response to other dogs both in the home and on walks. I like to get to know your expectations and routine so I can keep things as "normal" as possible while hosting and ensure that your dog's needs are met. It's also helpful to know if your dog is potty trained or where you are in the process so I can be sure to continue training and avoid accidents.
A typical day
I would love to take your dog on walks around the neighborhood and to the parks that I am lucky enough to live in walking distance from! I frequently take dogs along the Burke-Gillman trail to Gasworks park, to the Wallingford playfield, or Magnuson Park. We also have a fenced yard with a dog run and plenty of dog beds and places to relax inside.
