Reliable and flexible pet lover
Pet care experience
Hello dog lovers out there! I am a fellow dog lover looking to do drop in visits and walks with your dog. I have very flexible availability and am energetic and passionate-not just about walking dogs, but also about forming a bond with the dogs I work with. I am unfortunately unable to have a dog right now because of my living situation, but in the past I have lived with dogs for 20 years. I know what it takes to be a responsible, trustworthy caretaker. I have experience with big and small dogs, well behaved and boisterous dogs, purebreds and SPCA dogs. I love all dogs and would look forward to walking yours, whatever description they fit. I hope to hear from you! Lucy

Safety, trust & environment
I make sure to take notes on the pet's feeding, walking, and waking up schedule, as well as any special requirements such as medication. I like to go for several walks a day if possible (depending of course on the pet's needs). Because my schedule is flexible I am able to wake up early if need be, or get up in the night if necessary. I also love to just hang out and play with the dogs while I work or relax, and get to know them.
Information Lucy N. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet requires medication, if there are specific times they should be fed, and how many walks they require a day. I am happy to accommodate any needs as long as I know about them. I am also happy to do any dog training exercises that you may be practicing, as I have experience working on dog training exercises with pets at home.
A typical day
A typical day would go something like this: I wake up early, take the pet(s) to pee, then feed them. After that I will usually go on a walk with the pet, do a few hours of work, and then go for another walk (or a few more depending on how much they need to walk). While I am working I take periodic breaks to make sure the water bowl is full, pet the dog or cat, and toss a ball around or do any other activities the pet enjoys. In the afternoon I will generally take them for another longer walk, and then feed them supper, and take them for another short walk before bed. I like to make sure that the pets get to pee as frequently as possible and I like to make sure I am paying attention to them even when I am working at my computer. One of the most rewarding parts of pet sitting and walking is forming a bond with the animals, and I find that usually happens quite naturally when you spend enough time together and give them enough attention.

Availability
I have a very flexible schedule, I am self employed and work from home so I am available at short notice. I love to walk and am happy to go on multiple-hour long walks with bigger dogs that require them. I can work from anywhere I can plug in my computer, so I do house sitting pet care if need be.
