Pet care experience

**About me** A Bit About Me: **Hey folks, i primarily use this site to make contact and then continue that via personal text messages or phone calls. Please feel free to reach out and I will get back to you in a very timely fashion.** I have always loved animals of every shape, size, age, and need. So much so, that I worked at the Philadelphia Zoo as a reptile handler for the education department while attending college at Ursinus receiving my BA in Environmental Studies. After an amazing 4 years, I moved back home and accepted a position at Lollypop Farm Humane Society as an adoption/admission counselor. There, I cared for a plethora of cats, dogs, pocket pets, birds, and reptiles. Needing a change from the shelter life, I accepted a position at a local veterinary office as an Animal Care Assistant. Seeking more responsibility, I sought out a position as an Emergency Room Coordinator at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services. I soon realized I wanted to be more involved in animal care and enrolled in the Medaille Veterinary Technician program. After 2.5 years, and being top of my class, I took my board exam and became a licensed veterinary technician. All of this stared simply because I have always loved animals no matter their needs, size, personality or traits. My Animals: Anyone who knows me well, knows I can gush about my guys for hours. My pride and joy comes in the form of a 60lb pit mix named Remington (in my profile picture). I was blessed enough to find this nugget at the shelter. He was in need of foster, and I already knew I would fail miserably at that. 3 years later, he is living the best life. My home also includes a few reptilian creatures; a Sulcata Tortoise, a crested gecko, 2 aquatic frogs, and a betta fish. I cannot imagine a life without the love of an animal companion, no matter the kind :) A Day in the Life: A typical day for the dogs I look after includes a balance between snuggles, attention, and exercise. Whatever your dog(s) need, I can provide. A walk or hike at the local watering hole or park is a must (if okay with you of course!). I enjoy jogging, so if you have an active pup who is up for the challenge, I would love a partner. Nothing like mental stimulation and new sights! I am comfortable attending the dog park if you're a member, or pre-planned doggy dates if you'd prefer. The biggest thing is listening to your companion, and only doing what they are comfortable with. If they prefer a low key day, snuggles on the couch, rolling around in the grass or sleeping on the bed. I am fine keeping a watchful eye on their activity (or lack of). What You Can Expect: Piece of mind that your loved ones are in good, professional hands. As well as an exhausted animal when you come home; both mentally and physically. Lastly, as many photographs as you desire while your at work or on vacation. **About my home/services** I cannot accept your companion(s) in my apartment out of respect for my landlord and other residents. However, I do travel to homes to take care of your loved ones. I am flexible in both your needs as owners, and the needs of your pets. Being a full time employee at the emergency hospital, I do work 40 hours a week. Aside from that, I am all yours! I am always open to a conversation about services and rates, so do not hesitate to ask! **About my neighborhood** My neighborhood is very pedestrian, friendly, and accepting of all dogs! There are several local parks and paths (or hidden gems as I like to call them), that I like to take dogs for a good change of scenery and smells! **What to expect** I treat every animal like my own in the owners absence. I tend to listen to the needs of the pets, and will do what they are comfortable with. Cuddling is a priority, especially in the grass on a warm summer day! I can play fetch, hide and seek and tug for hours (thanks to my 4-legged fur guy). I love to take long walks and hikes and always have a doggy kit in my car (filled with towels, bowls, water, balls, and treats) for all their needs. **Special rules or requests** The only needs I have when caring for your pet is a meet and greet before hand! I like to make sure I have the lay of the land before I jump into caring for them. The more comfortable I am with their routine, the more they will be comfortable with me!

I have known Lucy for about a year now. I can honestly say that she is at the top of my list when it comes to caring for my animals. From my jumpy gecko, to our family's goofy Cane Corso, she is the first one to be called. The only thing greater than her knowledge of animals would be her passion for them.

Lucy is great! Very professional, caring, and compassionate. She treats my pups like they are her own. She always sends the cutest pictures while watching them.

I am Lucille's landlord and am so thankful to have an honest, respectful, responsible, clean and quiet tenant like her. She's a dream come true for landlords! Lucille is also a pet owner and has her dog, Remington very well trained. She also works as an Emergency Veterinary Technician and has lots of experience working with animals and knows all the do's and don'ts about owning a pet. I very much recommend her for your dog sitting needs. She has the experience any dog sitter would dream of having. And, any person concerned with leaving their pet with a stranger should rest assure that Lucille is the perfect person for you. Your pet would be in excellent hands with Lucille!

Lucy is a reliable, caring petsitter. She grew up with dogs, has fostered them and is herself a responsible owner of Remington. Lucy handles animals in a positive, yet firm way. Her own dog is well-trained. She learned solid experience at Lollypop Farm and is a Vet Tech at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services. This makes her an unusually informed petsitter. I would highly recommend Lucy as your pet caretaker.
