Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Lucy, and I’ve recently moved from VT to DC for an internship. I have always had dogs and cats in my family, and moving away from them has brought me back to Rover! I am offering dog walking and drop-by services. Rain, snow, or shine, you can depend on me for a fantastic walk or visit for your pet. I have also mastered injectable and oral medication administration as my dog and cat in VT are diabetic. Hope to hear from you soon!
Reviews
We left our pup Finn and kitty Charley with Lucy for a long weekend and we were so thrilled! Lucy sent us so many videos and pictures and took our active pup on hikes and to the dog park. She was super communicative and willing to take care of our dog as he needs a little more TLC because he has digestive issues. She reported no problems and willingly read our lengthy instructions. They can’t wait to go back!
Lucy was great with our Lola. I’m always nervous leaving Lola because she can be a handful due to her issues with other dogs, but Lucy had it down. We’ll definitely use her next time we go on vacation. Thank you!

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I have been a firefighter and EMT for over five years. While this experience does not directly affect pet care, you can count on me to prioritize public safety and integrity throughout your pet’s walk or visit.
Information Lucy M. would like to know about your pet
I would ask what environments or actions (if any) provokes anxious or aggressive behavior for your pet. Additionally, what would be the best thing to do to reverse that behavior to make them more comfortable.
A typical day
Being from VT, I love being outdoors amongst trees, dirt paths, and woodsy atmospheres. If applicable to your location, I would walk in these environments to expose your pup to as many trees as possible. Alternatively, long walks through the city or visits to the dog park are just as impactful to get your pet moving.

Availability
I am currently working part-time at an internship. I am confident we can come to an agreement on a flexible schedule for walks and/or a drop by.
