Hi there, I’ve been pet-sitting and dog-walking since I was a kid, and house-sitting throughout my adult life. Nowadays, my mostly remote work gives me lots of flexibility for all things animal care. I spent the summer of 2023 house/pet-sitting for five months for a handful of awesome animals. I have experience and feel comfortable with any size dog, cat, chicken, or bearded dragon, and although new to Rover, I have 6 five-star reviews on Trusted Housesitters. I try as best as I can to maintain the pet's routine while the owner is away. When I first meet the pet and owner I ask plenty of questions so that the owner feels confident that their pet will receive excellent care and the pet feels safe and is able to trust me.

All pets have their quirks and it's helpful to know what to expect with the dog around other dogs and what their normal leash behavior is like. It's also helpful to get insight on how the pet may be when the owner is away-- if they are extra anxious when the owner is out of town I’ll really focus on building trust the first few days so that they feel as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
I love to be outdoors and exercise so I'm excited to provide that, assuming that is something they are up to. I love animals and I'm sure to be attentive to their needs and follow their normal schedule. And give them lots of love!

I work remotely as a grant writer which gives me a good amount of flexibility when house sitting or doing drop in visits. I love animals and while I don't have my own right now Rover allows me to spend time with other people's animals so it's a win-win!
