Pet care experience
⚠️ At the moment I am not able to accept new clients⚠️ Hey there! I’m Lucy, a lifelong animal person and pet owner. Being the daughter of a veterinarian, I’ve been around animals my whole life, and more often than not prefer hanging out with them than humans. I’m a recent college graduate who has since moved to the Post Falls area. Growing up, I was around and worked with all sorts of animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, horses, alpacas, chickens, goats, and more. My first job was at a doggy day care, and before that I was helping our neighbors with walking and sitting as needed! In the last few years I have been working as an equestrian throughout the east coast- notable stops include the Catskill mountains, the Poconos of Pennsylvania, and one of my favorites- Aiken, South Carolina! When not riding, teaching lessons, or working in the barn, you may find me playing with the barn dogs and cats or hiking on the horse trails.

Lucy has taken care of my older Norwich terrier. My dog is very well behaved, but is now pretty deaf.This means she does take extra care as you have to be aware of where she is most of the time. I was very comfortable leaving her in Lucy's care.
We were so lucky to find Lucy to care for our dog. She alway communicated to confirm our plans and sent pictures of their walks. Goose simply loved her. Lucy is extremely trust worthy! in addition to walking him on a weekly basis, Lucy cared for him in our home when we needed to go out of town. She also watched him when he was recovery from an illness and we knew that she would care for him like we do.
Lucy was a delight, professional and passionate. I’m sad that’s she’s moved out west, but Boston’s loss is Idaho’s gain! Noodles and Boris, will be waiting by the window for many days to come in hopes of her return…
Lucy as always is amazing - has watched our two pups for 10 days while we’ve been gone out of country - book her for all your pet stay needs!

I start the day with looking after the animals- they eat before I do! Following that, I like to follow their lead with what we do next- a calmer, more senior dog and I may take a slow walk enjoying the sensory whirlwind of smells they find along different routes, while a higher energy younger dog and often enjoys a game of fetch, seek, or a trip to the dog park where we explore the enrichment there and make new friends! I do have some experience sitting with and walking reactive dogs as well- in that case, I work with the client to know their training cues, praises, and goals to ensure safety for all parties.

I’m open to all breeds, but I do like to know the pets age, temperament, and friendliness level towards both people and other dogs. I’m happy to discuss all of this at meet and greets.
A typical day
Once I’ve gotten to have a few visits with an animal, I like to try different games or exploring different places depending on their energy level and preferences.

Availability
Following my recent move to the Pacific North West from the East Coast, my schedule is fairly open! I am available for mornings, afternoons, evening, and overnight visits or sittings. I am happy to talk with clients and set up a schedule that is the most beneficial to them and their four legged family.
