Hi pet lovers, my name is Lucie! I am a freelance writer based in Bolton and a part-time veterinary receptionist :) Animals are one of my passions. I grew up on a farm with all kinds of friends: horses, sheep, goats, dogs (Husky and Doberman), cats, rabbits and more - so I believe your furry companions will be in good hands! I gladly adapt and give 100% of my energy to looking after them. I am also a horse rider (for 20 years), have my own horse and compete in British Showjumping. Therefore, I am more than happy to help take care of your dog.

Lucie is a natural when it comes to dogs. She’s very caring and loving with all animals and I’d highly recommend her as a dog sitter and walker. She’s very experienced with being around all types of dogs and is very considerate of my dog’s needs to make him feel extra comfortable while I’m away. Lucie also keeps me up to date with messages and photos when she’s looking after my dog so I know how he’s doing.

I live in a house with an enclosed garden in the countryside with no children. I currently have a two-year-old cocker spaniel named Crunch to keep your fur baby company. He is extremely friendly and gentle with other dogs. I can also crate your dog if you prefer and happily adjust to your routine. Please let me know if you have any questions! I would love to know as much as possible about your dog's routine so I can create the best home for them! For example, let me know what is their favourite food, if they have any allergies, where they like to walk, how often, and how they interact with other dogs. The more I know, the better :)
A typical day
I will continuously adapt the level of activity depending on your dog! I walk daily in my neighbourhood, play regularly in the garden and do long walks on weekends in different places near my home. We love going to Rivington or the beach on some occasions. In addition, I will keep you updated whilst you are away with videos and pictures.

Availability
Regarding my schedule, I work from home as a freelance writer and part-time as a receptionist at an emergency vet practice on some evenings (but my partner Matt will be home). It has allowed me to gain a lot of knowledge and have support around me if needed. However, I still have plenty of time to look after your dog! I will adapt my schedule around them, and my partner is also a great help.
