Pet care experience
I have a remote work from home position with a flexible schedule. I have adopted two medium sized beagle mix dogs: Pepè (after the cartoon skunk) and Jerry (after Jerry Garcia). Prior to my dogs, I’ve always had 1, 2, or 3 dogs in my childhood home - sometimes even with a cat. Usually small breeds, like silkies and yorkies, but as large as lab mixes. I’ve cared for and live with breeds as large as polish tatras. I will care for animals as you instruct. I understand animals picking up bad habits and understand these are your fur babies. I’m on here to make extra money to help pay off student loan debt. I love animals and I enjoy spending time with cats and dogs alike. Check out my happy clients on IG LuciaOnRover! My philosophy is simple: I’m going to do my best to read the needs of the animal. I will also provide love and encouragement - but not afraid to be stern if needed (or requested by the owner). I try to understand how you care for your pet so I can provide a similar experience while caring for your pet.

Lucia is the BEST pet sitter! She did an excellent job caring for Cassidy and Kevin and kept me up to date the entire time I was out of town. She gave me such peace of mind. She made sure Kevin got the play time he needed each day and Cassidy got to walk and sniff as much as she wanted. We highly recommend Lucia!

Lucia was outstanding giving Colt an excellent walk every morning during the last two weeks of 2023 leading up to Christmas and New Years when many other dog walkers including the other two ladies who help me with Colt were out of town visiting family members and were unavailable for dog walking and any other services. I was so relieved when Lucia said “yes” to my request to walk Colt the last 14 days of this year consecutively especially since I have been recovering from the flu and sprained ankle injuries this fall. Before I found Lucia several other dog walkers did not respond to my request I’m sure because they had plans for the holidays. Lucia was even willing to come on Christmas morning which really impressed me. Not many other dog walkers are available or interested in helping out during the holidays because they have so many big plans of their own. I will definitely contact Lucia again anytime my other two dog walkers are unavailable or going out of town etc. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a reliable dog walker and she provided very friendly courteous service and she gave me an excellent report on Colt’s status every day. He really bonded with her quickly and I could tell how much he enjoyed spending time with her the last couple of weeks!! I hope that they will get to walk with each other again real soon!
