HI! I encourage you to trust Luci with your beloved family pet, as I know she will treat them just like you would (or maybe even better!). How do I know this? Because I have watched Luci care for Abbey (our shepherd-chow mix) for over thirteen years and the bond that they developed and responsibility that Luci willingly accepted was beyond my wildest dreams. As a mom, saying 'yes' to a child's incessant pleas for a family pet can create an enormous amount of anxiety...can't you just hear it? " If you let me have this dog, I promise I will feed her and walk her and clean up after her. PLEEEASE??!!" Well, Luci actually did all of those things from age 5 until Abbey's passing just a few short years ago. Abbey and Luci were inseparable. Luci is in a unique position now to be able to enjoy caring for others' pets while she considers her next chapter in life. Luci is an extremely responsible and caring young lady who will go beyond. In addition to her experience with Abbey, she has shown adult responsibility in assisting with a children's ministry, her college studies and in her work as a restaurant server. I'm sure you will be glad your furry family member got to meet her!!
