I will love your dog as if they were my own! 🤍
Pet care experience
I am a dog-loving freelance copywriter living in a house with a garden. I have a dog-shaped hole in my life and so much love to give! At my family home, I was a primary caregiver for our toy poodle, named Elvis. I took on the full spectrum of dog care - regular brushing and bathing, daily teeth-brushing, energetic walking, day trips, vet visits and medicine administration. I miss having a furry friend so much and I am ready to pour all of that love and energy into becoming your dog's favourite hotel manager! Of course, I absolutely understand that boarding a dog is different from being an owner; different skills become extra important, including building communication, earning trust and offering security. One of my favourite ways to build trust with a new pup is to bring some tasty treats (ALWAYS in my pocket) and go through a few tricks like Sit or Shake that their owner can tell me they know. That way I show the dog that there can be a familiar kind of communication between us. I'm attentive to their body language and try to learn quickly what they value (maybe toys, treats or tummy scratches). It's so important to create that connection as soon as possible when planning to board a dog because we're often working with short timeframes before you leave your best friend in my care!
Reviews
My dog Moby stayed with Louise for 3 days. Louise sent photos and messages throughout the stay. Moby had plenty of walks in his favourite parks. Louise was very caring and took extra care of my dog during the firework night to make sure the dog wasn’t scared and could sleep well. Thanks for taking extra care of Moby
Highly recommended sitter. Extremely caring, communicative and considerate of our dog’s unique personality and welfare. Would absolutely trust Louisa with our little guy again.
You can tell that Louisa loves dogs. She knew what to do with my puppy from the moment we got to her place. I felt she was in good hands and could relax while I was away for the day. Would totally recommend her!
Louisa was so great. Played games and loved Lego lots. I felt he was in great hands while I was overseas! Thanks Louisa! Angela

I live on a quiet Victorian terraced street in a house with plenty of space. It's in the Jesus Green area and feels like a secret sanctuary in the city - it will be sure to become your dog's favourite holiday home! My house has a fantastic 7 meter deep garden that gets oodles of sun. All the plants are non-toxic for dogs. I also have a fair amount of doggy paraphernalia, like a crate, a separate bed, doggy shampoo, grooming brushes, chews and toys!

A typical day
I really love to train dogs - it's such a great way to build a relationship. If you have a trick like Spin, Dance, or Sit Pretty that you'd like them to learn, I would love to help you work towards it. It's great intellectual stimulation for your dog, and often good exercise too! As for walkies - I live 5 minutes walk from Haggerston Park, 10 minutes from Regent's Canal, and 15 minutes from Victoria Park (which is massive!). It's a fantastically green part of town and I love to share it with a dog. It's so wonderful to watch their tails go as they engage with new smells and sights!

I am a freelance copywriter so I work from home most days. With a very flexible professional life, I am able to attend to your dog's needs any time of the day. They will rarely, if ever, be left alone because I have a comfy dog bed set up in my home office. I also have a lovely housemate called Yuri who is passionate about dogs too - she sometimes offers dog care support if I need to pop out of the house. I'm a cosy, introverted kind of person and I'm not much of a drinker. I enjoy reading, tea and crochet - and all of those things are twice as lovely with a doggo by my side! I love taking a dog on exploratory walks around different neighbourhoods in London and throwing a ball around in a park.
