Hi there, I'm Lou, a 40 year old animal lover with over 15 years worth of experience looking after dogs and cats in my own home as well as other people's in both the UK and abroad. Its rare that I dont have someone else's dog with me! I just absolutely love canine company and fall in love with everyone dog or cat I meet. Particularly experienced in looking after dachshunds. Lots of references available. 2 below : 1) As a dog owner myself and as a vet, I understand the importance of trust when letting someone look after them and I wanted to share how I genuinely trust Louise with my little dog Pelvina. In my job I regularly (pre-covid) had long days, or had to go away, and Louise has really helped us out to be able to do so without sacrificing. We have known Louise a year now and straight away I felt comfortable with leaving Pelvina with her and I could tell she was liable, honest, and most importantly - she loves dogs. When Louise comes to pick her up, the reaction of the dog tells it all. Pelvina is so excited to see her and jumps straight into her car. Louise have also looked after Pelvina where she has stayed overnight. She is always easy to communicate with and flexible in terms of making plans, and when I go away I do not worry at all because I know she is in safe hands. Louise’s love of dogs becomes clear when even when we have now been working from home and not necessarily needing help, she will ask me whether she can borrow Pelvina a few hours and takes her out on lovely walks, and give her cuddles and attention. I think Louise have a natural way with dogs, she is confident and can read their body language and adjust her approach to the individual dog and their needs. Kind regards, 2)TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I first met Louise in 2018, through the Borrow My Doggy website. Since then, she’s looked after my miniature dachshund, Colin, on innumerable occasions. Colin clearly adores her and has had great days out with her (and the odd sleepover too). I have found Lou to be kind, considerate, a good organiser and utterly reliable. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone. I own a home in Old Isleworth, with a secure fenced garden and we have a green directly opposite our house, as well as the joys of the river at the end of the road. I am afraid I cannot take on pets with any behavioural issues- history of nipping/biting, excessive barking etc.
