Pet care experience

Update: I am accepting a scholarship in another state. We will not be providing services after the end of April. Thank you to all my wonderful clients who have supported me. I will miss all of you and your pets very much. Animals have been such a huge part of my life! Even as a small child, I knew that I wanted to work with animals in some capacity. I began making a little zoo of small mammals and birds, and eventually worked my way up to where I am today, where I have tons of experience working with animals in a professional manner (more on that later!) and am working through my undergrad degree to become a veterinary animal behaviorist. I simply love taking care of animals and helping them thrive, so I just can’t wait to meet you and your pooch! My history with animal care is very extensive. I have earned a small legion of certifications with several different pet industry organizations, and am certified in the following rolls: Nationally Certified Master Groomer, Advanced Pet Care Technician, Certified Pet Dog Trainer-KA, Canine Specialist, and Feline Specialist. Needless to say, I know a thing or two about pet care! I’ve always believed that knowledge is crucially important to providing excellent care, so I’ve devoted my life to learning as much as I can to helping animals be healthy and happy. Your pooch is in good hands! With that in mind, I am happy to provide a whole host of services for your best friend. I offer everything from regular training sessions to skin and coat care. These services are available for an extra charge during your dog’s stay, but are available for every pup that comes my way! Hydrobaths are perfect for dogs suffering from skin irritations and arthritis, and includes professional washing and conditioning, drying, brushing, and light trimmings. My training services are perfect for pups that need a little bit of behavior modification to develop positive behaviors using force-free methods. My services are also perfect for elderly dogs with special needs, as well! Lastly: when taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all.

So happy I left Ash with Lorraine and Shane. He had a wonderful time playing with their pup, Squall, and came home happy and healthy and clean and brushed out to boot! Lorraine kept me updated with pictures of him while I was gone and I think he had as good a time on his vacation as did on mine!

Simply put, The absolute best! Lorraine is extremely Talented and caring. Her skills go above and beyond! I only trust Lorraine with Neil and Stevie, my poodle mixes. They come home perfectly cut and styled, worn out and happy. If Lorraine has an opening, don’t hesitate to book that appointment. It will be the best decision you can make for your furry friends!

Information Lorraine & Shane G. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Please note that I am unable to board dogs or cats who eat a raw diet due to Pet Partner's therapy animal policies. - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? Please notes that I am not able to board or daycare female dogs in heat and I have an intact male dog. - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

What we’ll do during the day is completely determined by what your pup likes to do! I’m here to make sure that your pup’s individual needs are met, but also have a good idea about what a typical stay should look like as well. In any given day, we’ll start out with a morning walk around my cul-de-sac and venture out into some of the paved walking trails. After we return, we’ll have some breakfast and rest time together while I study. I’ll make sure your pup has a chew toy to entertain themselves! Midday activities will include playing or one-on-one training. After the afternoon nap, we’ll look forward to going out one more time before dinner, and then once more again in the evenings. We’ll round out the day with a bit more cuddling and playing together to make sure we get all the energy out during the day.
