Pet care experience
Hello, I've always had a great love for all animals, and over the years have been lucky enough to own and care for lots of doggies including Golden Retrievers, Cavaliers, Poodle Cross and our wonderful Stormy boy who was an Akita rescue. I have had experience handling many different breeds and enjoy getting to know their individual personalities, it's so lovely getting to meet and share in their lives for a while, especially when they come back to see us again. If your dog comes to stay I like to make it as much like home as possible I will discuss with you all of their needs regarding mealtimes, bedtime, exercise and medication (if needed). they are always welcome to bring their favourite toys or blankies no matter how chewed and soggy they might be! I work from my home studio as a pet portrait artist so my days are very flexible and enable me to offer a stable and calm environment with lots of time to provide real quality individual care, companionship and exercise. I live in a rural rea with plenty of fantastic walks and lots of new places to sniff and explore!. If your dog comes to stay with me they are guaranteed a happy and stress free time with all the comforts of home and lots of love and cuddles!

My fluffy dog was returned happy and brushed. Updates twice a day with pics, eye drops given as needed. Can't ask for more.
Thank you for looking after Barney, you were so welcoming, we were worried that he would be a handful for anyone but you made sure he was taken good care of, thank you for all the lovely updates including some gorgeous photos you took, it was great to hear how he settled in and how he was eating and sleeping well.

I always ask about feeding routines and quantities, also any medical requirements. I discuss each doggys sleeping habits to ensure that we are able to cater for their individual needs and they are always encouraged to bring favourite toys from home to help them settle in. I ask about their daily routines and any individual needs they may have. I reassure the owners that I will follow any care instructions they give. I also ask for the veterinary contact number. It is very important for health and safety reasons that your dog (especially larger breeds) has been trained to walk properly on lead and I will always ask about this.
A typical day
There are lots of lovely doggy walks nearby. I like to take them to the local park or to wooodland areas where they can explore. I am extremely safety conscious and prefer to keep them on the lead . Lots of cuddles, belly rubs and playtimes of course! It's very important to me that they feel at home, safe and relaxed

Availability
Working from home means that I am able to offer a very stable and calm environment with day long companionship. My days are very flexible and it's easy for me to schedule in walks or special care. I normally exercise and walk the dogs twice a day for around 40 mins each time, if your dog requires more than this please mention this before boking.
