I like to suggest a Meet & Greet to introduce your dog to my guys. Being away can be traumatic for a dog and we like it to be a nice experience for everyone. In the ten years as a Rover Sitter, I've cared for many types of dogs. Please note: I Do Not take intact males. We specialize in long term stays. Not a problem to care for your dog for several weeks. We have a nice family home with several options to care for your pet. Whether they like other dogs or they like to be alone, safe in a crate or free to roam, we can provide excellent care for your pet's overnight stays. Flexible scheduling to fit your time. In addition, we can provide outdoor and indoor activities, a comfortable place to sleep and we take care of any special requirements that you make us aware of. We believe an active dog is a happy dog. BOARDING: When you board overnight, pick up is anytime before 10AM the next day. If you are expected to arrive later than that, we can care for your dog for an additional daycare fee. Please contact us with questions. Why I love dog sitting Dogs have been in the family for the last 30 years. We had several Golden Retrievers both male and female and they were part of the family. Now we have Irish Setters. Meet my pets I have an Irish Setter about ten years old. He is friendly and easy going. He is able to play with other dogs but doesn't have to if your pet is shy or non-social. About my yard I have a fenced-in backyard, flat and available for play and quick trips to the potty. There is a park just up the street which I go to everyday. My experience administering medication Yes, I spent 15 years in the health care industry caring for people. I'm home with the dogs other than quick trips to the grocery. They are outside on nice days and I rotate them in and out if the weather isn't good. They are free to roam around the house and sleep wherever they want. I try to stay consistent with what you do at home so their routine isn't disrupted.

Lorraine is the best!!!! She truly loves dogs and always provides daily updates. My dog, moxie, loves playing with Lorraine’s two dogs. She is responsive and has that motherly quality one would look for when caring for your pet. We have used Lorraine’s services 4 times now and do not plan on ever looking for anyone else.
We were nervous to leave our dog for over a week but he seemed to have fun! Lot's of photo updates which was great as we missed him. We were also able to do a meet and greet ahead of time - nice sized yard with plenty of room for dogs to run and play. We ended up adding an extra night due to travel delays without an issue. Lorraine was also accommodating with drop-off and pickup times. Will definitely use again!
Lorraine cared for our 18 month old mutt Lucy for 5 days. She was a great communicator, sending notes and pictures daily to keep up informed. Lucy was exhausted when she returned home but in otherwise good health.

A typical day
Here's our playtime: Walking, playing and activities are important to a dog's health and happiness. We are outside running, walking and playing most of the day. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: According to your wishes, they have options available. A crate is best for some dogs. Others like open space and still others like a bed or couch. Time I'll spend with your dog: I customize it according to your wishes. I have a fenced in backyard so we are outside most of the day. We eat on their regular schedule so we don't upset their routine.

My full time work is caring for your dog so they don't feel scared or lonely during their stay. They will hang around with my dogs and will pick up the routine after a day or two. They become comfortable once they settle in.
