Pet care experience
I've grown up around a large array of animals (fish, birds, ferrets, turtles, cats, dogs, rabbits, etc.) and I love 'em all! When I turned 15, not only did I take on the task of raising my own animals, but others as well. I will make sure your dog is happy and healthy while in my care. Some of my unique talents include pet first aid, minor assistance in training, potty training, and I love cooking for friends of the 4 legged kind. If your dog has special dietary needs or other tasks unique to them, I will happily comply to the best of my ability. I guarantee your dog will be in the next best hands (outside of yours of course) when in my care.

Lorna did a great job! My dog has separation anxiety and she did everything she could to make my dog feel comfortable. She sent us updates throughout the stay. Definitely would recommend.

She's great with dogs! My dog is a shy, timid dog who doesn't warm to other dogs and people outside of my family. Lorna was patient and kind and believes in slow introductions with other dogs. I was worried when he went to his first "babysitter", but she did everything to make him comfortable. He loves walks, so she took him to a local park, she recommended I bring comfort toys and when he was overwhelmed she had no problem giving him one on one time or quiet time. He loves her! I have no worries when I leave him in her care because I know he'll be just fine.

Information Lorna H. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preference, I welcome all dogs. However, I do ask that you tell me about any important things to know. It can be anything from needing a favorite toy to sleep to separation anxiety to incontinence and all things inbetween. If they do it at home, they'll do it with me and I want to them as comfortable as possible. And if you have any methods you use, please fill free to let me know. My goal is to my home an extension of your's for our four legged family members. Comfort and consistency is key. For females, I would prefer spayed, but will take unspayed puppers in special circumstances. For males, they do not have to be neutered, but it is imperative that you inform me of male aggression for the safety of all parties.
A typical day
All dogs will have access to endless toys thanks to my dog living them. They will have access to the yard for exploration, potty time, and play every hour. For younger and active older dogs, we do take two walks a day (11 am and 4 pm). Weather can impact out outside schedule, especially if the dog does not like water. This is not a strict schedule.
