I grew up in Ireland where we had multiple pets my entire life - dogs, horses, birds, hamsters, bunnies, you name it! Having been on Nantucket for 13 years, I know all of the best trails to take your dogs exploring and uncovering the true beauty of the island. I provide a professional, dependable pet sitting service and can guarantee your fur babies will not only be well cared for but they will have an awesome time on Nantucket! As a personal trainer, I am passionate about helping my clients with their fitness goals and this includes the dogs! I love nothing more than getting outdoors and running the trails and beaches with my four-legged friends. My fitness studio is right next door to my home so I am never too far from your fur babies when they stay with me. My clients LOVE when the dogs visit the studio so if you have a sociable dog who loves to be around people, they are always welcome to come next door with me to work. I love nothing more than snuggling with my puppy friends at the end of a fun day exploring the island.

Lorna was wonderful! She asked questions ahead of Koa’s stay to make sure that Koa would be comfortable; she kept Koa active with lots of walks and rides; she sent frequent photos and updates to let me know that Koa was adjusting well and having fun; she was quick to respond to texts. Based on Koa’s big doggie smile in the photos that Lorna sent, I think Koa had more fun on Nantucket than we did! I highly recommend Lorna. We will certainly hire her again next summer.

Please let me know in advance if your dog has any special needs or requirements, if they have a particular diet or medical needs, if they have any behavioral issues, what their regular daily routine looks like (I will try to match it so they feel comfortable ale) and if they sleep in a crate etc.
A typical day
I love to explore all of the islands trails and beaches with my dog friends. For very energetic dogs, we will go for runs in the Moors. For older or more chill dogs, we may take a walk into town or stroll along a shorter trail. Sometimes we will visit the dog park and meet lots of friendly Island dogs :)

I work next door so I’m never far from the house. I start work at 5:30am and generally am done for the day at 1pm. I have 15 minutes break between clients every hour when I check in on the dogs and do potty breaks/mini walks in the neighborhood. After work, we usually go exploring the trails or for walks on the beach etc.
