I was a breeder in the 80s for basset hound puppy. I bottle feed 9 the first litter and 10 the second. Washed bathed and feed. Took them for there shots and made sure the got good homes. Cried every time I sold one. They were like my kids. Worked at a cat boarding facility, taking care of cats from litter pan clean up to feeding to petting and grooming. I have had my own pets dogs and cats that I've rescued. Two dogs and two cats. Roadie my latest dog found on the side of the road at 10 weeks old half starved weight was 9 pounds. And know he's a healthy pup. Know weight is 40 pounds. I love animals and I will love yours as if they where my own.
