Bring Your Family Member to Us!

Pet care experience

I am a work-at-home-mom of one 9 year-old son. We are both huge animal lovers and love to welcome friendly family members into our home!! We are active when the weather is nice and love to head out to the park and go for walks!! If you fur baby likes car rides, we can do that as well! We are very easy-going and accommodating, so let us know how we can make him/her feel most at home! About this sitter: We are two serious animal lovers in this home - one grown-up who acts like a kid, and one kid who acts like a grown-up. Together, we are the perfect pair to spoil Spot!! We love inviting pets into our home and love inviting them back even more!!! We have a 3-bedroom home with a finished basement, and a large yard. It's not fenced in, but many animal moms and dads have used tie-outs for their babes here! I have vast experience in animal sitting, and am regularly the go-to person when my friends and family go out of town. On a frequent basis, I have an adult Cockapoo in my home, a Lab/Shepherd mix and a variety of other animals who call our place home temporarily. We have a great, pet-friendly neighborhood, with neighbors who don't mind a little pet noise. My son loves being the "big brother" to any animal who comes into our home, and loves to help walk and feed them. Let us care for your baby while you are away! Why I love dog sitting I've always been a dog lover. I didn't have pets growing up because my my parents never wanted the responsibility and that made me sad. Now, I love having dogs in my home and my son is the greatest "big brother" to the fur-babies we care for! About my yard: I have a pretty large, generally flat yard. It is not fenced in, but is big enough for some type of stake to be placed in the ground so your dog has room to run safely.

Lori was wonderful with our dog, Sookie. She was quick to respond to my request, touched base to be more in tune with what Sookie needed, and was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I can't recommend her enough.

Lori was absolutely terrific with our dog, George. She clearly loves taking care of her 'guests' and George clearly loved her back. We will definitely be using Lori again and again.

This was our first time using Rover and we are very happy we did. Lori was a great choice, she took excellent care of our dog. She sent us pictures and kept us updated the whole time. I would definitely recommend Lori if you're in need of a dog sitter.

Information Lori N. would like to know about your pet

It is critical that the dog get along with children. My son is extremely respectful of all animals but I also need to know that he will be safe. Although I know that accidents happen, I would prefer to watch dogs who are fairly well-trained. It is imperative that dogs coming into our home have been around children and you are certain that they are not skittish about them. I want both my son and the animals to feel comfortable! I don't have a breed preference, but I LOVE mutts and big, silly dogs! IF your little baby is in new puppy training, I must ask for a "PIT" deposit. I will of course welcome your new baby, but I need to protect my environment as well. I will work with your baby the way you do, but may need to clean my carpets when he/she leaves. I'm sure you understand. ***Edited to add: Due to the increase in tick bites and instances of Lyme's disease in our area, I can only take dogs who have been properly tick-treated. Thank you! PLEASE DO NOT KNOWINGLY SEND SICK ANIMALS TO MY HOME. DOGS AND PUPPIES MUST BE UP TO DATE ON ALL SHOTS! THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. THIS PROTECTS YOUR PET AS WELL AS EVERY OTHER PET IN MY HOME. THANK YOU!!!

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Yes!!! I love to walk! We will either walk around my neighborhood, or, if your pooch likes the car, we will take a ride to a nearby dog-friendly park and walk! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Where does your dog sleep at home? I will do my best to accommodate! Time I'll spend with your dog As much as your dog needs! Walks, petting, dog park (if you would like) and lots of snuggles and love! I will need to be away from home sometimes for 4-5 hours at a time, but never for longer than that.
