I work from home, so I'm here with your furbaby all day long, keeping them company and giving them love and attention while you're away. I prefer to care for just one dog at a time, but may have up to 2. I live in a row house in Old Town Alexandria and have a small postage-stamp size yard, but enough for a little romp or for potty breaks any time they need to go out. But no jumpers please since the fence is only 3.5' high. We will go for walks in the neighborhood so there's plenty of time for sniffing around and checking out the scene outdoors. Your dog will have free rein of the 1st floor, and is welcome up on the couch to look out the window and watch all the people and dogs walk by. There may be times when I have to leave for up to 3 hours at a time (not often), so your dog should be able to be left alone without incident (or accident). I understand that sometimes you need someone to care for your pup only for a few hours, or just in the evening and that can be hard to find, so I offer an "up to 5 hours" option for $25, any 5 hours between 7am and 10pm. Just let me know and I'll adjust the price. I will also pick up/drop off in the Old Town Alexandria/Del Ray area, within 3 miles, for $10 each way, if my schedule allows, just ask. I will not be able to accept requests for every day or repeat dog daycare due to my schedule. Best for substitute or sporadic daycare. Prior to the first visit, I require a meet and greet so we can make sure it's a good fit for all. And I would like to confirm that all dogs are up to date on their shots. I prefer small to medium size dogs up to 55 lbs. I understand how dogs become part of the family and you can be assured that your dog will be treated like the loved one they are. Dogs are people too! :)
