I love the unstoppable pet
Pet care experience
I had spent the better part of a decade volunteering - playing with cats and walking dogs - and had spent all of them thinking of ways for it to be my way of life. In that time: I have been employed by a shelter, volunteered transportation and continued to volunteer dog walking in shelters; along with pet sitting for people I know and those I'd yet been graced to meet. I've walked all different breeds, all different sizes and all different temperaments and have learned some pretty amazing tips and tricks from some very caring and wonderful people. The co-volunteers, co-workers and dog trainers who had graciously given their time to help us. The countless furbabies I've been blessed to have known and loved, and the gifted amazing people I have worked with - and learned from - has given me so much that Unstoppable Pets is a way of life for me. Whether they be canine, feline, rabbit, ferret, hamster, rat or have feathers: you can rest assured that I will treat yours as I was once able treat my own seniors. With all the playfulness and love they need and deserve.

Lori was amazing! She stopped in on time every time. She gave me real updates and sent pictures as well! She truly cares for the animals that she works with. Definitely will book again!
We made arrangments months in advance for our husky Max and rabbit Rob for the 10 days we would be going to florida over the summer. A week- 7 days before we were set to leave, the boarder we made plans with stopped communicating. There had never been a disagreement, we had payments, vet records, contacts, providing our own food, bedding, toys, treats and cage/bedding- but that was it- nothing. 7 days before our dream vacation- 3 kids, 2 years of saving- we scrambled! We found Lori like some amazing gift from the universe! She was beyond accommodating! She was even willing to help out with a baby bunny we found the day she came over to meet our fur babies!! She came over twice a day to tend to Max and Rob, sent us daily updates and regular pictures- was so great for me and the kids- this was the first time we had ever been away from them. She fast became a dear friend, almost like family. Very trustworthy, responsible and prompt. If ever we need a dog walker again I can promise Lori is who we will be seeking out first. Max just LOVES her. We all know that is really the big test! I can not tell you the peace of mind Lori gave us while traveling knowing the rest of our family was taken care of. She is a woman that truly loves animals and is dedicated in a way very few people are. 1000 times over I would recommend Lori.
Lori is so compassionate and gentle with our dogs. She has worked with them to walk on leads, and to stay with her. They love her and so do we!

I always enter the same door, the same way. A knock and a pause while calling the animal(s) name(s). If left out of a kennel, I wait til there is a calm within and then push open the door. I don't like to do a simple let in and out, as I like to throw sticks or tennis balls for at least a few runs. If outside play isn't possible or dog isn't really into play time, a few moments for cuddles is in the schedule. Refresh and clean water bowls, quick pick-up of animal's eating area if needed. Clean up and dispose of stool.

I will be asking detailed questions at Intake, things such as possible allergies to treats, special foods, and who is their veterinarian, as Initial assessments (initial call as meet and greets are expected before services are rendered) are only for discussing if there are "extra" situations like separation anxiety. These possible extra situations add more time needed, and always given, for their betterment and I want to make sure everybody has the time they need. I do not have a job outside of Unstoppable Pets and I am looking forward to being able to meet you and your pet. Please ask about ongoing weekly and monthly rates.
A typical day
A typical "let in and out" and/or walks are never just potty breaks or walks. They always include a game of fetch, tug o war, or dancing with the zoomies and discussions on how their day is going. Walks are an adventure of whatever they can sniff while taking fun pictures and finding new areas in neighborhood to walk around. If agreed, walks include Riverside Park once a week. I am always talking and laughing with them over their antics and of being such smart, beautiful puppies and, recently incorporated ASL for "good", "boy", "girl", "sit" and "I love you" into my talks with them. This has really helped with focus and connection for them and me.

Availability
I do now have a part time job outside of Unstoppable Pets and I am asking for a week advance notice so as to make sure everybody's schedules work well together. If I am scheduled to work outside of pet sitting, my priority is to your pet and I manage my time with them in mind. Please ask about ongoing weekly and monthly rates for individual pet walk services.
