Like many people, I've had dogs all my life. Five years ago I started participating in various dog sports. I currently have 3 dogs that train in sports including herding, dock diving, and IGP. I am comfortable working with dogs of all sizes. Dogs of any age are welcome. I only take dogs that are crate trained.

Pretty sure Luna had more fun at Lori's house than she does at home! It is so much easier to leave for vacation knowing my dog is in such capable hands. I honestly didn't worry about leaving her at all after meeting Lori, we'll definitely be booking here again if she's available next time I have to leave town!
Lori is an absolutely fantastic sitter! We boarded with her for many nights and could not have had a better experience. She sent photos and videos of Rex, she kept In great communication with us. When we picked him up he was healthy and happy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We went through three different dog sitters and were about to give up entirely, then we found Lori. She was a godsend. Our dogs are over the moon in love with her. She’s attentive, engaging, and trustworthy. I don’t not know what we would have done had we not found her. Any dog that comes to our home must be crate trained, good with cats, older children, and other dogs. Guest dogs will be crated at night and if I need to leave the house. Guest dogs will be out of their crate as much as possible during the day so they feel a part of our household.

A typical day
What does your dog enjoy? I often play fetch or use a flirt pole for exercise with my own dogs in addition to their normal training. I own several high energy breeds and understand the importance of training and engagement. I love playing tug and fetch with dogs while throwing in a little basic obedience to keep the dog's brain engaged. *Our yard is currently not fenced. Boarding dogs will be kept on a long line while outside for their safety.* We do have cats and chickens, our cats are indoor cats and are a huge part of our family. For their safety I cannot host a dog that is not cat friendly.

I am a recent transplant to Canton, NC. My weekends are usually free unless we are competing in dog sports. My calendar is up to date with all currently scheduled activities.
