Experienced pet sitter

Pet care experience

Hello! Forever and always dedicated and passionate animal lover. Your pets needs, health and well being will always come first under my care. I have and live by a very high expection of care for all animals. Your pets will come first. As I would expect the same service of care for my own. =) My many years working at boarding, vet clinics and daycamp environments I have seen a lot, learned a lot. I would always leave at the end of my shifts feeling immense about of guilt for the dogs, cats, various other pets being boarded. Wishing I could just take them home with me, wishing they were staying with me and not there. =( Knowing how scared, stressed, anxious, alone they were and it wasnt within my position to do anything to make them feel safe, recieve better care once I left. As a pet owner myself. I would never ever leave any of them at any of the places I have worked, nor trust any of the employees to take care of them. I have seen to much, know to much. It's all the same. Your furr babies deserve better, the best. You deserve to know that your requests, expectations, instructions, preferences or concerns will always be met, followed and respected. A vacation for your pets. =) Post Rover clients, 6 pets have been willed to me, should anything ever happen to the owners. Truly means a lot to me, knowing my furr parents trust and acknowledge my dedication, love for there pets and that they are part of the family. My rates may seem high compared to other sitters. Please understand that my various experiences, degrees, expectations and certifications are not there for show. I live by them. I understand that things come up and you want to assure your pet is safe, happy, and healthy while your away and I am happy to discuss the activities I offer, services and adjust as such for a reduced rate if need be. Please ask ahead for more information. Not only am I certified in dog behavior and body language. I have experience in veterinary care, doggy day camps and lodging for dogs, and I do foster care with a local dog rescue and volunteer work. I have worked with many various breeds, sizes and ages. Ranging from behavioral traumas, abuse, neglect, trust issues, behavioral changes. I am very comfortable working and caring for all temperaments. Even those who have agressive, reactive dogs, unique, specific behaviors dogs. Please sont hesitate to contact me. Boarding facilities often exasperate unnecessary stress, behavioral concerns and cause behaviors that werent present before. I offer my dog walking, drop in and in your house sitting services for these furr babies. Unfortunately since we have our dogs and daycamp dogs daily we can not offer in our home boarding for agressive dogs. This is to ensure the safety for all pets. *** July 4th plans- have a pet with fear of fireworks. Or know of a pending storm and are away for the day, working late and cant get home in time. Please Please dont hesitate to contact with me. Your pets safety, well being is my utter most concern. I am here to help.*** I have been told I have special ability of bringing out the wiggle, social butterfly in any shy/timid dog. I provide a safe, fun & relaxing environment for your dog. As a dog owner myself, I go beyond what the typical owner does daily. I know what type of service I would expect for sitting, daycamp and just having a service in case of an emergency. Along with many years of working in different kennel, boarding environments, It was clear i needed to start my own small personal pet sitting service. Thanks to many of you for also encouraging me to do this. Knowing you saw the difference I was making in your dogs life, made my heart happy and my determination stronger. With that being said, my process involves a thorough meet-n-greet where I have the opportunity to meet you and to interact with your dog(s). We will discuss your preferences and your dog(s) needs at length and together we will prepare a personalized care plan for your dog(s) that you can be confident in. I am a full time dog daycamp, pet sitters. My fiance also has experience working in vet, kennel environment. We have 2 rescue horses and a mini donkey. Our dogs are our children. Your dog(s) will be treated as such as well. NOT a dollar sign. Please let us know if your dog has an anxiety in cars. We enjoy taking car rides with our dogs to the local state parks and exploring nature with them. Did you know how much brain function your dog uses when he/she is sniffing the ground, environment outside? Please note that we will not take your dog off leash, so please dont ask. We know they may be good for you. However we will not risk it. Please let us know if they have any vices on leash. What you can expect... Your fur baby will be treated as part of my family. They will be able to sense and know that they are safe with me. It will be a combination of active times with lots of fun things to see and do, and down times taking it easy with lots of snuggles. Really based on what they want, physical needs are. I adjust accordingly. Some of the things they will be able to enjoy are sunbathing on the deck, rolling around in the grass, playing with bubbles, short walks or long hikes on the farm/ state parks, playing in the water, and more. Your dog(s) personalized care plan will meet all of their age & health/condition needs. --- Some of the extra things I offer ---- Does your dog have an involved medication protocol or other special care need? Not a problem. Do you need me to come over and check in on your dog during the day or evening? Take them out for a quick potty break? Or a good long walk? Not a problem. I am totally flexible and available to assist you with the care of your dog(s) from the most basic to the most involved. I can be your pet-care partner. A surprising special service I can provide... Do you have a need to socialize your dog? My personal dogs go every where with me and are social butterflies. I have taught them to be good citizens and be calm and confident in any environment. Through foster care with rescues and other relevant experiences, I have developed expertise with all breeds and temperaments. I can help bring out the goofy, wiggly, more confident side in even the most shy/timid dogs. This type of work is among my favorite because I combine my education in dog behavior and body language along with my intuitive nature and use it to bring out the best in your fur baby. Please contact me today to discuss how I can help you with caring for your dog!

Don't cut your dogs life short by stressing them out at a boarding kennel. Don't waist your time with anyone else. USE Lori. We board them with her often for extended stays ( 2 weeks, sometimes longer). Her years of experience working both with dogs in a kennel, daycamp environment, having a variety of her own breed of dogs, foster, saving dogs and experiance at vet hospitals. Have made Lori one heck of a inspirational sitter. Her knowledge in reading the dogs body language is intriguing and amazing and natural for her. Because of these skills and experiences, She is the reason we still have our 1 dog Stella. She saved her plain and simple. She noticed something seemed off. Something my wife and I has not noticed. Early stages of a type of cancer that shows next to no signs to most people till it's so far along that it becomes a death sentence for dogs. She knew, she was right, she informed us, made it clear this wasn't something we should ignore and she was right. No words can express our gratitude. We will never use anyone or any other services again! We just hope she never stops doing what she does. We had a family emergency last minute and Lori was also once again there for us. Sometimes our dogs don't even want to come home with us. At first we were upset by this but then later we realized its because Lori really does go beyond what a typical sitter does. You know your dogs are being given the best of the best and tons of TLC. She probably showers them with more attention then most of us because we get caught up in our daily life. She is and stands by her principles and it is all about the dogs. Not you, her or any one else. She is a true genuine animal lover. Her utter most priority will be your pet. I can confidently assure you of that. Her dogs are great as well. We love seeing the photos of all them playing. She has a great dynamic going on.

A typical day

I offer a variety of fun, safe, enrichment filled activities to suit your indivual pets needs. For weather restricted days that outdoor activities need to be limited for potty breaks only. Or pets that have physical restrictions. I offer my enrichment games. Did you know? Mental stimulation for your pet is just as important as physical? This is why I love enrichment games for all pets of all ages. Swimming (even for physical therapy needs), hiking, meeting our horses and exploring the smells at the farm (on leash only), walks where you prefer them to be walked, ball play, positive re enforcement activites and of course lots of snuggles, scratches at all times. Some days your pet may prefer a short walk to potty and really wants to come back in and curl up the couch, or there bed and just be loved on, scratched on. And that is what we will do =). Your pets physical, mental soundness, safety comes first.
