Lana seemed to have a great time with Lori-Ann. She was exhausted when I picked her up, got along great with the other dogs there, and appeared to be well cared for. You can tell everyone in the house loves caring for animals. The house was pretty much exactly what I expected based on Lori-Ann's profile. I got photos and updates every few days. No complaints - will definitely book again.

Lori-Ann took great care of my babies. They had a blast playing with the other doggies, getting attention and exploring the backyard.

Doggie "Grandma" — Always home!

We have fostered for a variety of rescue organizations over the years and have offered dog sitting services to the Yale community since 1993. In 2008 I took a pet first aid course through the Red Cross and we created our initial Rover profile in 2016. We love it!

NOTE: Because we accept multiple dogs and do not crate unless the owner instructs us to do so we have made our profile on the long ...

What Lori-Ann would like to know about your dog

Since we accept multiple dogs it is of the utmost importance that we not have aggressive dogs here. Therefore, we do not accept the bully breeds or any dog that is unsocialized.

If your dog has separation anxiety we'd probably be a good fit as there's always someone home to offer companionship and comfort. However, we'd like to know in advance if this could be an issue.

PLEASE, if you have a male dog who has dominance issues around other males he won’t likely be a good fit here.

Your dog MUST be up to date on his vet visits and must have active flea and tick prevention.

When Lori-Ann watches your pet

PLEASE, NO LATE NIGHT DROP OFFS OR PICK UPS. I am awakened every morning between 5 and 5:30 for the dogs’ first potty visit to the yard. In order to get 8 hours of sleep I need to be asleep by 9pm. If you pick up your dog in the evening understand that by 7 or 8 I’m at the end of a very long day and eager to get ready for bed. Therefore, 8pm is the absolute latest that I want to deal with people coming and going from my house. Keep this in mind when booking your drop offs and pick ups.

WHEN YOU COME AND GO FROM MY HOME: Being that we often have 5 or more dogs here who act as a pack during their time together it can be very overwhelming for a human or a dog to be surrounded by the dogs when they first walk in. We have found that it’s better for all concerned if we separate some of the dogs before you enter.

We generally ask people to text us when they are on the way and again when you arrive so that we can temporarily reduce the number of dogs who can access you when you enter.

For dog SAFETY, when you are entering the house come into the enclosed front porch and make sure the storm door has shut completely behind your before knocking on the inner red door. This will make dog escape impossible.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS: We would rather devote our time to caring for the dogs and not keeping track of personal belongings.

We have plenty of toys, beds and bowls so there is no need to bring anything except your dog's food. Toys from home can cause dog disagreements as they may not want to share items they know are theirs.

Do not bring anything here that is expensive or that you’d be upset to lose. Each dog that visits here comes with their own habits. Assume that anything that comes into this house is subject to being chewed, peed on, dragged around and lost, etc.

We have a table in the living room with a basket for leashes. We won’t remember which leash is yours and everyone is on the honor system to take their own leash when they come to pick up their dog. If you have an expensive leash that you don’t want to subject to the honor system then take it with you when you drop off your dog.
