My current living arrangements don't allow me to board pets, but I am available to spend quality time with any pet in your home, day or night. I have over twenty-eight years of experience pet- and house-sitting for friends and relatives, and have yet to encounter a situation I couldn't handle. I've never met a pet I couldn't love (though it's likely to be from a discreet distance if it’s something venomous, unless it's very tame). Over the years, I've cared for a variety of mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and even spiders. My prices are negotiable, dependent on the amount of time required and the duties expected. I'm available for overnight stays anywhere in San Francisco, and the Northern portions of San Mateo and Alameda Counties. Drop-in visits are generally limited to San Francisco & the adjoining communities. I'm sorry, I am not available for any services in Marin County, as I don't currently own a car and public transportation to that locale can be problematic. I am happy to text or email photos to you during my stay. I'm certified in Pet First Aid and CPR by the San Francisco SPCA. Why I love pet sitting I've always loved animals. I've nearly always had at least one cat in my home and when I was a child, I had a dog of my own. At various times, I’ve also had reptiles and rodents, and participated in the care & spoiling of my friends' and relatives' pets. My experience administering medication: I’ve had considerable experience administering a variety of medical treatments, including subcutaneous hydration. I have also had a good deal of experience caring for older pets and those with special needs. Assisting them with mobility limitations and dealing with continence issues are not a problem, though in severe cases I may charge a bit more.
