I'm that person who has to stop and admire every dog I pass on the street. I dog-sit simply because I love dogs, and would much rather see them enjoying their time in a family home rather than being housed in a busy kennel while their owners are away. I've had dogs of various breeds throughout my life, currently a 7-yr old friendly maltese mix who likes making new dog friends. From puppies to aging adult dogs; I love them all. We live on acreage on a quiet dead-end road, have a huge private yard, and a long driveway through the woods on which to walk. Your dog will love exploring all the sights and smells outside, get lots of attention inside, and will be allowed to roam around the house without being confined to a crate. Toys and treats (if your dog's diet allows them) will be provided. I know that when owners and pets are apart, the pets need understanding and extra attention. And, the owners probably need a photo texted to them now and then of their furry friend's vacation here! I will do all I can to make your pet's experience, and yours, a good one! I will also accept puppies who are crate or house-trained. We have a non-smoking, clean home and can often provide spur-of-the-moment care. I normally sit for just one pet at a time, unless one owner has two pets. Though all dogs are wonderful, I normally do not take dogs over 45 lbs., and am unable to take pit bull/pit bull mix dogs. To clarify on the daycare, I am happy to do occasional daycare but I'm not an every-day daycare center. Our location is convenient to both Holland and Saugatuck.
