Pet care experience
I have been a foster & volunteer in 4 different rescue leagues. I have had small dogs of my own for 14 years - currently have 2 - & have always been able to integrate the foster dogs right into my home & family. With family dogs visiting & my foster dogs, I've had as many as 11 dogs in my home & managed just fine. I have a tried & true system for introducing dogs, keeping everyone happy & making them a part of my family while they're with me. I also help (at the owner's request) work on small training issues while the dog is in my home. Anything from learning sit/stay to house/crate training to separation anxiety strategies. Some of the dogs I've kept in my home have made amazing strides/improvement in a very short time. If your dog is already "perfect", like mine (ha!), that's awesome. Lola is fabulous!! Our pup had a fun time staying with her over Thanksgiving. We enjoyed seeing pictures and videos of our pups adventures. She went on walks and played with other pups at Lola’s house. It was comforting to know our pup was well cared for.
Lola was great with our dog, who took a bit to adjust, and Lola was so patient with her.

I treat your pets like they're my own while still following the basic structure (where possible) of their routine in your home. I cannot allow any dogs to "free feed" in my home because the other dogs will help themselves.

Information Lola A. would like to know about your pet
I would not have any breed preference...only the size & age preferences - under 15# & over 1 year old. They also need to be spayed/neutered. I do ask that you provide a copy of shots record, from your vet, and let me know if your dog is on flea/tick & heartworm preventives. I will only board dogs from different households if I know both dogs and I feel their temperaments will mesh well. This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
A typical day
There are several lovely walking areas around my Ashburn Farm community & I love long walks, if your dog is up for it. I have a small fenced (6') in yard & I love to bring the dogs out with me while I garden - weather permitting.

All the pups get a morning, midday & evening walk - weather permitting. I work from home so I'm able to fit in care of the pups before, during & after my workdays.
