Pet care experience
At home, I have had a Golden Retriever for over 9 years, and in the last 3 years also rescued a Boxer mix, Black Lab mix, and Great Pyrenees. In Boston, my roommates had a German Shepherd mix. My grandparents and my aunt have always had dogs, and multiple close family friends are dog sitters. I have been surrounded by dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments my whole life and have loved every moment of it. I walked dogs all throughout college, so I have a ton of personal+professional experience - big and small dogs, puppies, and seniors. I love being able to work and help take care of dogs. I plan on using Rover mostly for dog walking, but I am also happy to check in with your dog while you're away. I spend my time going on runs around Brooklyn and I love the area. If your dog needs lots of exercise, I would be happy to run with them! I know how much people care for their pets and understand the time and affection that is needed to treat them right. I love dogs and cats and I can't wait to meet yours!

I requested Logan’s help when I was working one weekend. He was extremely responsive and responsible - came over the day before so I could introduce him to the puppy. He was prompt and took great care of Rumi, even spending time with him at home on a day when heavy rain (aka the hurricane) meant that a longer walk would not be possible. I look forward to working with Logan again in the future!

It's important to always be vigilant. I've walked 3 dogs at once very frequently at home, so my eyes are always open! I make sure especially to look out for dogs eating things on the sidewalk. My Golden loves to eat garbage, so I always have to stay 1 step ahead of her. The same goes for interactions with other dogs. It's better to avoid a problem than deal with one, so I always look at my dog and the other, watching to make sure there's no aggression in an interaction.

No breed preferences, I love dogs of all shapes and sizes! I'd just like to know how your pup gets along with other dogs or with people, their likes and dislikes, any allergies or things they're afraid of, and their temperaments. Every dog is different, so knowing some of this in advance will help me make your doggie as happy as possible!
A typical day
Dogs love to be stimulated, even on a routine walk. When in the area, I love bringing them to Prospect park and the neighborhood, where they have tons to sniff and watch as we walk! This tires them out and keeps them sharp!

Availability
I work from home, so I'm able to take lunch breaks to walk your dog in the middle of the day. I also am happy to take early morning or late night walks when needed. I'm flexible!
