Pets = Happiness

Pet care experience

I have ample experience taking care of my own pets as well as the pets of others. I have studied and understand animal behavior. I have helped train puppies and older dogs. I have lots of experience with senior pet care, as well. Most importantly, I love animals! I was so so close to becoming a zoologist when I was younger, haha. I travel fairly often due to family living out of town. So, I can't have pets of my own at the moment. By dogboarding and dogsitting, I'm getting my animal time by taking care of your pets! :)

Thank you Lizzie for taking care of Jinx! Lizzie is fantastic and very responsive. She left the house in better condition than when we left it and we were able to enjoy our trip knowing Jinx was in capable hands.

Lizzie is a great house and pet sitter! She is great with dogs and cats (even our somewhat aloof and elusive kitty) and took really good care of everything. I recommend her highly!

Lizzie is always amazing! My fur babies love her and I feel completely at ease when she is taking care of them.

10/10 recommend Lizzie! She was attentive to Elle’s needs. Her communication during the visit was the absolute best because I knew everything that was going on. She gave me a breakdown of the entirety of the visit and sent lots of great pictures. The best part of it all was seeing how happy my dog was with her! Lizzie truly went above and beyond ☺️

Safety, trust & environment

When dogsitting, I always make sure to thoroughly read through the owner's instructions as well as ask questions ahead of time to ensure I'm as informed as possible. I spend as much time as possible with your pet(s), especially during our first few days together to bond and build trust. When dogboarding, I have a little questionnaire I have owners fill out so that I'm as informed as possible. That way, I can better help your pet feel comfortable in my home. I keep a dog-friendly environment by having dogbeds, bowls, toys, and treats (if parents approved). Plus, cozy furniture if you're pet is the cuddle-up on the couch type. Please Note: Although my profile says crate trained only, I am more than happy to board dogs with prior experience with boarding or older sleepy doggos :) We can discuss!

Information Lizzie L. would like to know about your pet

It is always important to know a dog's likes and dislikes, sensitivities, medical conditions, and if there is any trauma in their past. Also, it's helpful to know if a dog has specific commands that they respond to. With dogboarding, it's helpful to know their boarding history. Are they a newbie or an old pro? It's always good to know!

A typical day

For dogsitting, playtime and outside time are a must! I usually look at a map to see if there are near by parks/fields. I also engage pets in playtime (if that's their jam) after walks/throughout the day. Lots of dogs have bursts of happy energy after walks, so playtime is super fun and helps them focus their energy! If dogboarding, we take 3 walks per day (unless that's too much for an older dog/dog with special needs). I also keep toys in the house for play time :). Super happy to take trips to the dog park as well! Beach? Hike? Just depends on what your pet is comfortable with :)
