All my life I have been around animals within my household. I have took care of birds, reptiles, cats and canines. I love and respect animals as I would a person and strongly believe in animal rights. Currently, I live with my mother in a spacious two bedroom apartment that can provide plenty of space for watching two dogs. I own and live with 6 cats and a bird and so I ALSO offer cat sitting and other types of pets. The cats get along perfectly and would not pose as a threat to the dogs. The bird is always kept securely inside a cage- so no worries on any mischievous harm being done to her. The Roberto Clemente State park is only of walking distance from my house. The park contains an extremely large baseball and track field as well as a large usually unoccupied picnic area that is perfect for playing and running with dogs. A typical day your dog would have with me is always a fun and safe one! I am strict on safety first for me and the dog. That being said, I will always make sure to inquire about the dogs well being on the day of and the few days prior to, or just anything alarming that I should know - just to make sure that the dog is not under any type of stress or illness presently. I always make sure that the dog is dressed appropriately for the weather before starting our day (sweater, coat, dog shoes) as well as making sure that all of the essentials (water, treats, leash, toys, medications if any) are brought with us. Once we are geared up to go, I will always pick a safe area to walk or go for a run with the dog such as making sure that the floor is safe (no glass on the floor, or potholes) to prevent injury for me and the dog. Also, I will make sure that the area is fenced and no potential hazards. Then fun time begins! I love switching things up every walk. I will avoid taking the same paths or doing the same activities (only of the dog wishes !) I implement a variety of activities with the dog that will make them better to train, more intelligent and stronger both indoor and outdoor activities. Your dog will love his time with me, guaranteed! Required Restrictions are making sure that the dog has a durable, good leash, food or water bowl and weather gear.
