Your Go-To 🐶 Sitter in Carlsbad!✔️

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m Liz and I am honored to be a Rover premier sitter. I am a stay at home mom of two and since I am home FULL TIME, your dog or dogs will rarely be left alone during their time here! I understand! I get how nerve wracking it can be to leave your pets back home. But rest assured, they will be in the best of hands with me, I promise. Your dogs will be guaranteed 24/7 human interaction, attention and lots of belly rubs, cuddles and playtime and be part of the family the whole time they are here. They will also get the chance to possibly socialize and play with other doggy friends (only 1 other dog besides your own at a time) allowing them to develop better social skills, practice good behavior and make some new buddies while they’re at it. $20 off for first time bookings.. use coupon code LIZL47261. This is the place for them to be! I promise to send tons of updates and love sending frequent good quality photos of your pup throughout their day and stay and will always keep you in the loop the whole entire time your dog is here with us. Easily contacted and always respond quickly to messages, especially while your pet is here. I pride myself in consistently and constantly keeping in touch with and completely open communication with you as the pet owner before, during and after their stay.

We live in a dog friendly/safe/puppy proofed but comfortable and clean and tidy residential house. We have plenty of space inside and outside in a safe and quiet cul-de-sac no exit suburban neighborhood in N. Carlsbad. Dogs always have access anytime to our fenced backyard and side yard dog run area. Daily walks and visits to the grass runs to play fetch, get some quality outside time, etc. Please inquire if you’d like additional excursions, hikes, walks for a small additional fee. We have lots of great paved trails and protected nature preserves within walking distance. Always checked for burrs and ticks after as precaution. Your dog will never be unsupervised or unattended. Water bowls with filtered water always available. Our neighborhood is safe and quiet and doggy friendly with little to no residential traffic, but easily accessible from the I-5 and I-78 freeways and close to Cannon Rd and El Camino Real. Last minute or advance bookings welcome and accommodated when possible. Short term or long term stays are fine! Meet and greets always welcome if desired and if able to schedule before a stay, but not always necessary or required... please inquire. 🐶🐾🐶🦴🐶🐾🦴🐶 I have had dogs as pets all of my life until recently and raised and trained our large breed dogs, a chocolate Lab and St. Bernard from puppies through adulthood until old age. I feel confidently comfortable with most breeds and sizes. From a 7 lb. puppy Havanese to a 100 lb. Bloodhound to a 130 lb. gentle giant St. Bernard who thought he was a cat and every dog and size in between. I love all dogs!! I confidently know a lot about them, characteristics of each breed, and their specified care and needs and behavior and cues. But sorry no aggressive dogs, excessive barkers, dogs not house trained, dogs who mark inside or any reactive dogs please. The safety of myself and my family and your dogs all come first! I have my BA in psychology from UCSD and am very interested/knowledgeable in pet psychology and behavior, primarily in dogs and children. I have worked with and feel comfortable with rescue dogs who need a slower and more gentle and patient approach. 🐾🐶🐾🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾 Our neighborhood has lots of large green belts and sand for playing fetch and a perfect place for getting out that extra rambunctious energy. Conveniently close to Legoland- .25 mile away. We live 3 miles from the beach, 2 miles from the 5 freeway and less than .5 mile from the Agua Hedionda lagoon.

Information Liz L. would like to know about your pet

* Puppies younger than 7 months must be boarded with a crate please, they tend to feel safest in a safe and secure crate environment while sleeping and while unattended and it’s good to have a secure downtime spot when needed. Not always used if it caused more separation anxiety but good to have just in case. It really helps me do my job and be able to take care of your dog. If you can do your part before their stay to help out with any crate training or separation anxiety issues, and that would be a huge help for me and make your dog stay that much easier. *It’s good for me to know their routine at home as far as feeding goes, exercise/play, sleep, potty. I absolutely love to sit large breed dogs but am not able to accommodate ones who are also high energy at this time. Please let me know if they bark, what it typically means and what helps your dog stay settled and calm. It is expected for dogs to feel a little anxious in a new place, especially the first night. Please send natural calming treats if you think your dog will benefit from them and please consult your vet about this if needed prior to your dog’s stay. Please be upfront about if your dog barks or has any behavior or temperament is shears that I should know about before, I only helps your dog stay be much easier if I can be prepared for what they are like before hand. I can’t wait to have your dog stay with me and thanks so much for reading. Your dog needs to be friendly and not aggressive with children or people or other dogs. Thanks so much for understanding! It’s good to know what they cannot or can have as treats, how they behave on a leash for walks, how they act around other dogs or children, any details are good to know, what we need to know to all stay happy and safe during our time together. I’d rather know too much than not enough about your doggy before their stay! The pet parent is #1 and I can guarantee your pet will be happy and safe with me! ♥️ Can’t wait to hear from you and meet you and your doggy(ies soon).

A typical day

I love playing fetch with and teaching new tricks to your pup! I will make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise + playtime at their comfort level while they’re here! I typically take the dogs on walks, at least morning and evening or according to your instructions and your dog’s age/energy level. 20 minutes to do their duty or an hour walk doing a couple of miles out exploring nature on the surrounding trails at the lagoon. As a duo or one on one. Additional excursions available. An exercised dog tends to typically be a happy dog and a happy dog is the best!! Happy to do pickup or drop off for additional fee to cover fuel costs.

🐾🦴🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾 I have always felt easily comfortable and had the ability to easily connect and bond with dogs and animals as I have with children and I love connecting with each of their unique personalities! I am home full time and spend all day overseeing the dogs, walking, playing with and taking care of them according to their routine at home. Our home is their home. It is an uncaged environment although, not completely free rein of course. The dogs do always have access to the backyard and side yard at all times for potty breaks with plenty of water bowls placed throughout the home. I am exclusively a pet sitter full time. I am purposely home the majority of the day to tend to your doggies which gives them plenty of human interaction, attention and socialization. I love what I do and I am grateful for all the doggies I get to meet. It is a pleasure to get the chance to take care of your dog for you. Please reach out with any questions and I am here to help when I can!
