When I was 8 years old I begged my parents to adopt a puppy and promised to take great care of him. Now at 23, I've grown up taking care of my 15 year-old dog, Amos. We go on long daily walks around the neighborhood, spend lots of time in the yard, and spend lots of time snuggling. Every walk I put on his over-the-head harness and practice good leash training. Since we spend a lot of time outside, things can get messy. Therefore, I frequently bathe and brush him as well. I also have experience brushing his teeth, administering oral medication, and removing ticks (if necessary). Since adopting Amos, I've returned to his rescue shelter several times as a volunteer to care for both dogs and cats. When I was 13, I started a neighborhood dog-sitting service and spent my summer walking & boarding dogs. I also grew up around many friends and family who owned dogs and cats of varying age and health. Therefore, I am confident in my ability to expertly and lovingly care for anyone's beloved pet, from puppies to elderly. I am a recent college graduate looking for a full-time job, but in the meantime I am looking to fill my free time with dog walking and care!
