Getting Certified in Dog Training

Pet care experience

In my family growing up, I loved taking care of the family pets. I'm now in the process of being able to work with animals every day. Right now I'm going to Animal Behavioral College and am loving it! By next year, I should have my dog training licence. I have a puppy and have a great time training her every day. I live with my 4 Fur babies ( 1 dog, 3 cats), and they have been a joy to myself and my husband. We dont have children, but we enjoy spoiling the 4-legged ones we've adopted.

My dog had a good time with Liz. She is very friendly and attentive. Additionally, she has professional dog training skills. We had option to watch our dog play thru the home camera. We would definitely come back.

Liz has an amazing skill set that makes her an incredible animal caregiver. Her attentiveness, compassion, thoroughness, and genuine care for animals can be seen through her actions—she treats every animal with the same love she would show her own pets. Your pet will be more than just taken care of—they will be safe, loved, and completely pampered! I would recommend her to anyone!

Safety, trust & environment

I dont have a fenced yard, but I keep my dog on grounded leads for a time. My fur baby is SUPER FRIENDLY, lol. She's under a year old and loves exercise. I regularly train and play with her every couple hours and will fit your dog in with the play as well. I will keep your dog on a lead every time I let them out to go to the bathroom, or for play. Mostly, especially during cold or hot weather, I keep them inside with me. I will have a fence installed sometime in December, the materials were back-orderd and haven't gotten here yet. I don't accept dogs who are aggressive towards cats. The cats however, will ignore dogs or leave the room.

Information Liz A. would like to know about your pet

I need to know any medical or behavioral issues before hand, so I can prepare and change the environment if needed. (Such as dietary restrictions or if they aren't house broken yet.) If there are special requests, I need to know those as well. I do not mind working on behavioral problems while they are here, but that would need to be addressed.

A typical day

I take walks several times a day with my fur baby!! I usually do 2 walks a day, one in the morning and one before bed. (Depending on weather.) Bathroom breaks are every couple of hours. In the afternoons I do 30 minutes of play time (usually fetch or running through the sprinkler), followed by 10 min of obedience training. In the wintertime or extreme heat, outdoor activity is usually done in 10 minute intervals. We have a park that is in walking distance and fully shaded that we like to go to. We live right on the river, so the yard is always cool and shaded by the trees bordering the banks. We own the empty lot next door and is where we do most of our fun exercise and training. I also have a designated digging spot if you have a terrier who can't seem to stop digging.

Availability

I'm home at the moment and can provide care all day and into the evening. I'm going to school at my own leisure, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I do have a schedule for my pets and when they are fed or go outside, however I can easily accommodate another schedule if needed.
