Animal Lover + Works from Home!

Pet care experience

Important: **We only care for pups from one family at a time. Always. You never have to worry about other dogs boarding with yours. Even when everyone swears their pup is friendly, we find it gives everyone peace of mind to know that their babies are our sole focus* My husband Mick and I do this as a team and we are very passionate about it. We absolutely love animals! I’ve taken care of my own dogs my whole life and pet sat for friends throughout middle and high school. I vow to take care of your fur babies, cater to their needs and keep them safe!!

Liz and her husband were very patient with Chase who has anxiety and does not like when we are not there. Her husband slept on the couch with him. They are truly pet lovers who went over and above in my opinion. Thanks again for watching Chase. We will use Liz again and hope as Chase knows them better he will feel more comfortable

Spacious & clean house. Kind people. Readily discernible that my dog enjoyed her stay. A candid recommend!! =)

Safety, trust & environment

We have an unfenced yard that is big enough to walk around comfortably with a leash. We always use a leash and NEVER allow dog(s) outside without close supervision. We are able to do whatever is best for your animal’s comfort and happiness. Unless otherwise instructed, they are allowed on all furniture! I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering insulin as I had a diabetic dog that needed shots twice daily for over 8 years.

Information Liz A. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know any special needs ahead of time. More information is always better - never think you’re “doing too much”. We love having written instructions about feeding and potty times at the minimum so we can try to stick to their normal schedule as best as possible. If you can, please also include anything special about what they like, don’t like, how they like to be handled, everything. Also, if there are any rules at your house you’d like followed in ours, please let me know. If you don’t want your pup on furniture, etc., just tell me and I’ll be happy to accommodate!! Please bring their collar, leash and harness if you have them. Unless your dog is elderly or very small, we tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to walks and love having a harness when we can. Boarding can be stressful for pups; it is a new house, new neighborhood, new environment—you never know how they could react on walks/outside. ALWAYS better safe than sorry!! ***Of course if your dog doesn’t use a harness normally or it would make them uncomfortable, that’s fine not to have one*** - but if you do use one and you’re on the fence on whether to bring it or not, please do!

A typical day

I love to mentally stimulate and play and will always be attentive to your pup. I do have sporadic meetings during the day, during which your pup(s) have free rein of the house, ample water, comfy couches and anything else they need.

Availability

I work from home full time, meaning leeway to feed and give potty breaks as necessary during the day! We live two blocks from a park that we enjoy walking around and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. We are able to do long morning/night walks and frequent potty breaks in between. We limit outdoor time during daylight hours, especially in the hotter months when pups can easily become dehydrated, overheated, or hurt their paws on the hot pavement.
