I'm a current student at The New School for literary studies and illustration. I am also a full-time dog lover. I have a miniature poodle of my own back home, and I miss her dearly! Before I moved away from home and started college, I took care of three dogs, two of my neighbor's pugs and my poodle-we all grew up together! The pugs were older and had lots of medical issues like diabetes and joint pain, while my dog was still acting like a puppy. I know how to handle a mix, and give individual and separate care. Like people, all dogs are different and it takes some intuition to know what makes them comfortable. For the older pups, we went on slow, no-incline walks. I always carried water and made sure to take breaks for belly rubs in the grass. Before meals I'd administer their medicine via injection and mix up special food low in sugar. My dog, on the other hand, needed high energy walk-runs, lots of toys, and a frisbee break, and needed no medication and loved reward-based activities. I know what it takes to care for a dog, give the best treats and pats, and make any pup feel loved. My availability is flexible and I am very high energy, so I can walk pretty much any time, in any weather, and anywhere. I mostly like to walk dogs in parks, and show them the sights of the big city! I like to have regulars, just so I can give the very best care and really get to know their personalities and needs. I have so much love to give. Dogs are my favorite part of being in this world! I also have an apartment capable of housing several dogs if needed at any time.
