Large Breeds Welcome!
Pet care experience
***Note: Please read entire profile below to make sure my work schedule, home, and preferences will be the right fit for your doggo :) About Me: I am a lifetime dog owner/lover with experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds, as well as those with special needs (specifically insulin injections for diabetes). Currently, my husband and I have one dog: a 97 lb, 1.5 year old chocolate lab named Moose. We both grew up with dogs of all sizes, from Shitz Hues and Spaniels to Collies and Golden Retrievers, so we are comfortable with all doggos! Moose is a goofy, gentle giant who gets along with everyone he meets - he's never met a dog or person he didn't like! Exercise: The backyard is a decent size (big enough for a large lab with the zoomies!) and fully fenced. Moose is a great playmate, but I will walk or run your dog as needed depending on their age/abilities/energy level, and/or take them to the local dog park (Westcrest) if they are socialized. If you have specific places that your dog loves to run/play, let me know! Crates: Dogs are required to be crate trained as that makes the experience more comfortable for all involved. I have a spare large breed and a small/medium breed crate that your dog is welcome to use if you think they will be comfortable with that, or you can bring your own crate from home. We have plenty of dog beds/couches for your pooch to lounge on during the day, but if they are particular about where they sleep at night, be sure to bring their bed/crate from home. Schedule: My husband and I both work full time, but your dog will have access to the living room/dining room/kitchen area of our home's ground floor for relief from the weather, as well as a doggy door to the backyard/deck for them to go potty, play, and nap in the sun while we are away. Unfortunately, there are no potty break opportunities M-F 7:30 am-5 pm if your dog has a tendency to dig under or jump/climb over fences - we don't want them escaping while unsupervised and we do not work close enough to go home mid-day. Our dog, Moose, can go without a potty break for a full work day, so I am still happy to accommodate your dog by closing the doggy door and leaving them both inside in the living room/kitchen/dining area previously mentioned, as long as your dog is fully potty trained/can wait to go potty until I return home from work in the evening. If necessary, I will use a gate to separate the dogs inside to avoid any negative interactions while unsupervised (Moose has never been aggressive toward anyone, so this need will be based on your dog's personality). There are 4 water bowls - two inside and two outside - and I will move them as needed based on the above arrangements so your dog will never be without water. I will take your dog for a walk/run in the morning before work depending on their energy level/exercise needs and to make sure they go potty before I head to work; I will do the same or take them to the dog park as soon as I return home from work in the evening. On weekends, I am mostly home, occasionally leaving for no longer than a couple hours at a time, so supervised playtime and potty breaks will be much more frequent than weekdays.

I love having pogo stay with lisa! she always has such a great time. Lisa and her family take such great care of her. Now when I tell pogo she is going to see moose she gets overly happy knowing how much fun she will have on her stay.
Hands down one of my favorite sitters in the west Seattle area! Pogo always comes home happy and loves playing with mosse!

Information Lisa W. would like to know about your pet
I want to stick to your dog's routine as much as possible to make their experience with me as happy, comfortable, and normal as can be, so the more information you can provide, the better! For example, how often/long do you normally walk them for/what is their energy level? Are they allowed to have treats? If so, do they have any allergies/are there any treats that should be avoided? Are there any bad habits I should know about (chewing on rugs/furniture, digging/climbing, possessive with food/toys, etc.)? Is your dog crated whenever they are left home alone or just at night when sleeping? Do they get along with other dogs (preferred)? Are they allowed on furniture at your home? How much do you feed them and how often?
A typical day
There are numerous parks near my home where I can walk/run your dog, as well as a great off-leash dog park (Westcrest) with a walking trail and plenty of balls! If your dog loves to swim, I can also take them to Magnuson. My husband and I love to check out breweries on the weekends, so if your dog does well in leashed social situations, we're happy to take them with us on our people adventures too!
