Home away from home!

Pet care experience

I would like to be a dog sitter because I thoroughly enjoy the companionship that dogs (and other animal provide). Since a child, I thought I would become a veterinarian. I love taking care of animals and humans :) and this is my life long calling. I worked in the veterinary field for over 10 years and loved it. I especially love meeting their humans and working to ensure your dog feels at home and comfortable. What sets me apart from other sitters and dog walkers is that I have a lot of medical and behavioral experience with animals. I specialize in exotic animals and love learning new things and would love to pet sit your exotic animal as well. I have a huge back yard and my house is completely 100% fenced in. My dog and pig have full access to the yard, but I am always available to let them in. Most of the day, my dog and pig prefer the couch :) I enjoy going walking at Mission Trails and around Lake Murray as well as multiple dog beaches (on leash of course). I also have recently ventured to Poway and done some hiking there with my pup. I am working FT right now out of my home and so I am available most days at the house to supervise the dogs and to take them for daily walks. I am pretty much available to supervise them the entire time they are here. I currently have 1 daughter who is 10 years old and my BF who live in the home. We additionally have 3 cats who are very used to the other animals and who usually keep to themselves. My dog loves having other dogs come visit and this is another reason why pet sitting is a great idea for us. One thing that I do have to consider for larger dogs is how they interact with Lucy the Pig. For this reason, I would need to assess each dog with her prior to their overnight stay. Most dogs have been fine with her, but hunting dogs tend to have a natural instinct towards prey animals and so I would have to take this on a case by case basis. We do have a side fenced in area that I could separate the pets if need be.

Lisa is an amazing furbaby caregiver!!! I've seen her interact with dogs, cats and domesticated pigs as if they were her children. She is firm but fair. I would 100% recommend her to care for your pet.
