Experience Pet Owner/Trainer
Pet care experience
I used to manage my veterinarian’s daycare/pet hotel and training program in Virginia Beach where I also volunteered at the SPCA with my Therapy Dog International, Inc. certified dogs and occasionally my cat(s). Therefore, I enjoy taking care of aging or disabled and making them feel like they are puppies again. Prior to that, I was the Regional pet trainer at PetSmart where I used reward training to socialize and train puppies and dogs to strengthen their bond with their human and furry family members. My favorite moments are turning aggressive or shy dogs into social butterflies, mediating between family members about their pets, and helping children learn how to love their furry family members respectfully. I believe it is important for me to meet your pet and you, the pet parent(s) prior to accepting a job, so I can make sure that I get to know you and your pet and note the preferences and details of your pet’s needs and schedule. My dog walks are private, so your dog(s) get my full attention. During the walks, I can walk your dog to the destination of your or his/her choice, drop him/her off at the vet, groomers etc. You will receive high quality photography on each trip like the ones seen in my profile. I currently do not board pets but will be happy to stay overnight (basically the whole day and night with the ability to go home and take care of my pets twice a day, and run errands as necessary) with your pet(s) in your home, if needed. Allowing your pet to stay in familiar surroundings is, in my opinion, the best thing you can do for your pet, especially if they have a hard time parting from you if it is within your budget. Your dog will be spoiled without breaking your house runs…they’re will be lots of baby talk, massages, and scratches!.

Lisa is great.
Lisa is awesome! My pup is a rescue and she is super shy. Lisa is very patience and wants to make sure my dog is comfortable with her before taking her out for a walk. I will highly recommend Lisa to anyone!!

Information Lisa W. would like to know about your pet
I need to know your dog’s medical history, food and potty schedule, vet information, emergency contact, vaccination record, behavioral issues, location of first aid kit, pet preferences ( like favorite route, toy, dislike of skateboards etc.) and food allergies.
A typical day
Every dog is different. To make sure that your dog has the most fun, I would interview you about what your dog likes to do. Stroll around the park, browse the pet store, take Instagram pictures around the neighborhood, play inside with their favorite toys, give massages, have a lovely dinner at a nice restaurant, get attention from people walking by, a training session to review commands or learn tricks....your dog will feel like he or she is on a vacation.
